I dig it. I'm torn some because I enjoy BBM, too, but when I am in town we've been gravitating towards CP more often than not. The outside seating is lacking, but inside it's fantastic. I am particularly fond of the fact that you can bring food in from outside  if you don't want to subsist on pretzels. Otts and 5 Guys are two walking distance options for that. (I tend to go for Ott's lol)
I actually checked off "yes" for the good for kids question below. I would not have done so had I not seen a dad with his twins (maybe 12?) come in and sit down to enjoy a trio of drinks- he, a beer. They, one of the handful of craft sodas they stock. I thought that was pretty cool.
I have one of their numbered Civil War growlers, and a fill on that was 10 bucks the other day. Not too shabby.
Finally a good craft beer place in Knoxville. I come back to Knoxville 2-3 times a year, and always complained that there were very few places to get craft beer, and where you could was to much of a club scene. I would rather sit down and have a conversation over a beer or two. The staff is very friendly, and pick great beers to server. Come in and have a couple of drafts, and then bring some home from their singles cooler or 6 pack shelves.
Review Source:It's simply Fantastic! I started going the day they opened and now look forward to every trip there. The beer selection is great. The staff is warm and friendly. John and Nathan (proprietors) are like old friends. And I've met some really neat people there who are now friends. If I had designed and opened a bar, it would  be EXACTLY like this!
A bit  of advice for anyone who hasn't been or who isn't a "beer person" - DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED by the selection. Twenty two CRAFT beers on tap is unheard of around here but jump in and try something. That many probably means you WILL find something you like or maybe love. Also, don't be afraid to ask advice of the staff OR even the regulars who  you may see at the bar. Right now there is aa GREAT selection of Octoberfests and Pumpkin beers on tap. It's that time my friends.
Love this place as a casual place to sit and have a beer. I'm a craft beer groupie and this place doesn't disappoint. They don't serve food but you can bring your own in. Â My only reason for not giving it a 5 star..my boyfriend and I have been there several several times and the servers have never seemed very friendly (with the exception of a couple) and some of them (mostly the females, grrr I hate to say) know very little about the beer they sell or serving. We keep going back for the beer and atmosphere, but it would be nice if the servers were just a tad warmer...
Review Source:If you love great craft beer, a chill atmosphere, great service, and an amazing beer selection, then this place is for you. Â This is my favorite bar in Knoxville. Â Don't count on having a Bud Light in this place, they serve craft beer only and this is a good thing. Â They have around 10 beers on draft, but also have a large cooler with about 100 different kinds of beer you can grab one from and they'll pour it in a chilled pint glass. Â Most bottles are $3 and most drafts are $4, of course there are a couple of exceptions. Â You can also get sampler tray.
You can also make your own six pack and the sell and fill growlers. Â They have a nice selection of t-shirts and loads of other beer to grab as you go out the door. Â They've added much more seating, which is great because before there was enough space for about 20 people to sit down.
The beers on tap and in the cooler change frequently. Â The Happy Hour is from 4-6 where all pints are $3 and with the beers they carry is a great bargain.
If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and go immediately. Â The staff is wonderful and are always glad to see you come back.
If you are a "Miller Lite" kind of guy, just go on and drive by. The pint serves craft beer from smaller regional brewers from all over and sells shelves full of of it in addition to growlers of what is on tap. The taps regularly change, frequently and I cannot emphasize that enough. The atmosphere is laid back, not the kind of place to go get rowdy, and the staff is very helpful. The seating is a little limited but it keeps the place from getting too full  and in my opinion is a very good feature. Happy hour, I think is most days from 4-6,  $3.00 pints. If you like beer and a variety of it, it is certainly the place to shop, meet for a pint or talk beer.
Review Source:A friend suggested we check this place out so we made a special trip...and we were delighted.
The Casual Pint offers a wide selection of 6 packs you probably can't find anywhere else around here. Â They also offer a build your own six pack option, single bottles to drink there,10 beers on draft for sampling either in 4 or 6 flights and pints.
The atmosphere is comfortable and the beers are actually in the spotlight. Â
The staff is knowledgeable and when I asked about my favorite beer (Pyramid Apricot Ale) she let me know she did not think they distributed in TN but to always keep checking back.
We enjoyed a couple pints and then got 2 growlers to go. They were reasonably priced and of course refillable. Â The growler thing is new to us and could become my new obsession. Â I think draft beer is the best way to drink beer and now I can get it to go! Â Amazing.
I will definitely be back to get my growlers refilled and have a pint after work. Â Â
Thanks to The Casual Pint for making our night out on the town that much more enjoyable!
