Some of the best catfish I've had in a long time! Yes it is just a Butler roadside building on the Sni-a-bar creek just off the Big Muddy MO, and looks like a cafeteria inside. But it is way way worth it! It has a good mix of families, Srs, and bikers alike.I had the Cajun Catfish. It was perfect blend of spice not to over powering. Fish was flaky and mild and not overbooked. They give you seversl pieces tge equivalient to about two big fish filets. Waitress said it is farm raised. By the way... wait staff was perfectly attentive and food came out timely. Â I had the spicy slaw and twiced baked potato of yummy cheese goodness. Both were perfect. Slaw was really different. It was almost pickled. We both loced it. My wife Had the fried shrimp. There were about a dozen. More than she could eat. They were plump and juicy again not overcooked. She also got the twice baked potato and polished that off first. She couldn't stop it was so Delish.
Her green beans were amazing as well with pork/bacon in it. Nice smoky taste! Â For desert it was angel food cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Overall a surprisingly welcome surprise of a place. Just like a good ol country comfy place you can call home! Look for Charlie in his hunting cap, bib overalls, and kitchen apron. Â Go there now!!
