Stopped in here on a slow Sunday afternoon as we were hungry. Maybe three other tables in the place were halfway through or waiting for food. So, should be good service right? Nah. Sat down promptly, menus' given, asked what to drink but we didn't know yet. Server came back after five minutes and we ordered a couple of beers and the fish and chips which the sign on the window said was the best. Beers came in nice large 22 ouncers and only $4.50 each. Good deal! Food took way too long. Fish was over cooked, crunchy on the outside, but horribly mushy on the inside. For the $38 we spent, I could have found a better place. I'm sure the music is good and I know the beer was great, but this place needs to work on delivering what they promise. Lots of Celtic decor, but the menu was decidedly american fare and not very imaginative. Sorry. Hate to rain on everyone else's parade here. Bad day? Not sure. Other reviews mention the same thing. Management needs to wake up and get on the cooks in the kitchen and the waitstaff on the floor. Its not that difficult.
Review Source:I came for the live music, which was wonderful. I recommend this restaurant solely for the live music that is often played here. The food was good, but nothing special. Don't expect a gastronomical adventure, that's for sure. My initial water cup was dirty and I had to ask for a new one. That marks off one star right there.
The service was alright but the owner (or manager? whatever) was kind of weird. He came up to my table and declared that I was shy because I wasn't blabbing my mouth off to him. It felt very patronizing. When I eat, I don't want to be judged on my conversational skills. So back off.
Oh, and they could have hired a more well-rounded staff. It seemed as if they were just going for some Celtic "eye candy" in the form of low cut tops and big breasts. It was pretty distasteful and reminded me more of a second-rate brothel than a pub.
Unfortunately, I have to echo the comments of other reviewers regarding the lackluster to rude service. Â We always have to wait far too long for service when visiting this restaurant, and when it does arrive, we feel just a little bit assaulted. Â It's pretty obvious to me that the female servers are hired on the basis of age and appeal to the bar crowd, rather than for their knowledge, skill, or friendly attitude.
Although we've enjoyed our food here in the past, our most recent visits have been consistent in their mediocrity. Â
On our most recent visit, I was left wondering if the food was even fresh enough to be safe. Â There was a definite rancid odor to the batter on the beer battered chicken breast which was also soggy and oozed gooey uncooked batter, quite disgusting. Â The mashed potatoes that accompanied the dish were completely flavorless, no seasoning whatsoever on them or the chicken, and the gravy was a greasy scary mess. Â The side vegetables had a truly odd flavor as well.
I believe that they use bacon fat in both the gravy and the potato leek soup, and lots of it. Â We fondly refer to the potato soup there as "bacon grease soup", since our first and last encounter with it several years ago. Â The gravy tasted the same, as did the soup special which was supposed to be some kind of chicken soup, but I could not in a million years deconstruct that odd colored and strange tasting mess to report what was in it, although it did have a suspiciously odd consistency very much like the offending potato leek soup, which greatly reminds me of those soup cans full of saved bacon grease that were popular on stoves back in the 50s. Â I have nothing against bacon, but there is this little thing called a heart. Â I like mine to continue ticking. Â
When my 6 year old , who is usually a very enthusiastic eater  refused an offer of dessert on the basis that she didn't want anymore "nasty funky food from this restaurant" I really did have to complain. Â
Given the attitude of the servers, I knew what I was in for, so I only complained about the chicken dish, which was wholly inedible, scary even. Â Â Given the response from the very slow and rude waitress, and the person she sent over to our table, I assume the manager, I am glad I didn't really state my full case. Â I'm sure that the unpleasant edge to the conversation would have escalated to full blown abuse had I done so. Â This man had a demeanor more appropriate to a bouncer than a restaurant manager.
The chicken was removed from our check, but we still ended up paying for inedible food that we left barely touched on the plates. Â The comment was "Our customers really love it". Â Hint, hint, me and my party are customers. Â We didn't like it. Â We couldn't eat it! Â
Based on the other reviews here, we're not the only customers who aren't thrilled. Â When you can't hear criticism, you can never ever produce decent food, or a competent staff. Â Â All you do is doom yourself to mediocrity or worse. Â No one goes to a restaurant wanting to complain. Â Listen to your customers, and at least pretend to care.
All in all, I think the restaurant and staff are more about catering to the bar crowd, and as with many restaurants in Prescott, manage to get by due to the complete dearth of decent restaurants in this town. Â Anyone who eats out regularly in Prescott is settling for some truly mediocre to horrible food with very few exceptions. Â Despite its early promise for us, Celtic Crossings has now made our ever expanding list of Prescott restaurants to avoid.
Dined in this colorful pub with the promise of "the best fish & chips ever". Â Spot on food! Great Guiness on draft which is not available anywhere near where I live and a cheerful, funny waitress to boot. I wish this place were in my town, not tucked away in its Prescott mall where people can't find it. Do take the time to locate the pub, you won't be disappointed.
Review Source:Walking around the mall looking for something to eat other than the usual food court crap, we found Celtic Crossings.  I'm really glad we did!  Unfortunately, because of a diet that I'm on, I had to stay away from the Fish & Chips, so I ordered the Maggie's Salad with Chicken.  There was  A LOT of flavor in the salad itself and I loved it.
Service was a tad slow, but I'm sure that's because they were a bit short-staffed. Â Our waiter must have also been the bartender, but he was nice and friendly enough, so it wasn't a big deal to wait a little bit.
I loved all of the flags, and the general pub-like feel that reminded me of true pubs in Dublin (albeit on a larger scale). Â A good mix of Celtic music and Top 40 were being played, while the HUGE screen aired ESPN.
I'm definitely coming back here to try their Corned Beef & Cabbage, as well as the Fish & Chips.
DEARGODMANDONTDOIT!!! I have NEVER been so all around disappointed. When we got there, there was only one man on duty, he was the bartender and the waiter. which he told me so I expected things would be a bit tight, but we are patient people so I wasnt too worried. then the other waitress showed up. Seriously, I think our whole experience would have actually been better had she not. she was rude almost from the word go. besides us, there were two large tables, but that was it, so while I can see being a little flustered, I dont think the workload was exactly killing her. she got mad when we asked for no ice in my MIL's water, she got mad when we asked for refills. she got mad when we ordered hot wings because "they are really hot, so dont complain to me" (which we didnt, they werent that hot). The menu is kind of sad, but I had never been before so I figured whatever. I asked her what was good trying to help her be positive and get a little more comfortable, however the dishes she recommended had something in them that I dont like or am allergic to so I opted for something else, on the recommendation of someone at our table. Well it was BAD and I mean, the person who recommended it even said it looked nothing like the last time he got it, and he didnt eat his either. Now keep in mind, I dont usually send back food, or complain about it. for the most part, if I dont like it I just push it off to the side, but seriously when I tasted it I almost vomited. just looking at it made me sick so I asked her to take it away. Well of course this pissed her off even more. add on top I had to ask for the third time if she could refill our drinks because my husband had gone most of his meal without water. she "offered" (more like snarled) to get me something else, so I opted for one of her recommendations, she tells me "well its gonna be a while." and walks away. well from then on she was so mad I swear I thought she was gonna spit in anything I ordered, so when my soda came back flat, I just gave up and stopped talking. The ONLY good thing I can say about this place is the bartender seemed nice, and if u go for the alcohol, maybe its an alright place. But dont eat here, and watch out for angry waitress!!! Did I mention our bill was almost $100? SSSSOOOO not worth it. I could have eaten better at mcdonalds. and next time I will.
Review Source:We go to Celtic Crossings more for the atmosphere than the food. Of course, the food isn't half bad: generally speaking, their Irish fare is decent enough and their more American-style cuisine is passable. Mostly we love the live music and the decor.
Family-friendly during the day, but after around 8pm it becomes essentially just a bar. Best to go for lunch if you've got the kids, late dinner if you're with adult friends.
this is a cool irish looking restaurant on the inside which also has a full bar. they play irish music the entire time you are there. they have reduced appetizers and drink specials during happy hour. we only had their irish tacos. they were very good. served with corned beef, cabbage, and mayonnaise. would've preferred some type of special sauce to put on them. they have a very large tv that you can watch multiple games on all at the same time. i know they have live music but unsure when. i believe they have live music on fridays and saturdays and also have live music on their large outdoor patio. they also have whiskey and beer tastings. though we only ordered the irish tacos, everyone elses food looked really good. it's a fun place, nice place but there wasn't a big crowd. they are hidden in the mall area and it was hard to find them. it just takes a little driving around. i believe this would be a great hot spot if people could see them better. good all around place. great service. lots of irish beers to choose from and american beers.
Review Source:It's going to be obvious that I am trying hard to like them.  Sunday evening saw quite a few items missing from the menu  which was a surprise since 5pm is not that late in the day to be running out.
Having a Saltire, ( the Scottish Flag) Â out front is an easy * from me as well as a handy identifier to add in location, tis near the bed bath and Beyond.
leek and potato soup : very well done
Irish Tacos  : Kinda flat, the idea is there but the execution isn't. Really not enough of each ingredient to consistently taste what's there it gets lost in the tortilla
Steak, instead of pot-roast was really good , cooked as requested, sides pretty nice ( about as Irish as being sober on a Tuesday
Banger's and mash, instead of ( I forgot) , well done as it's hard to mess this up and not enough places get this simple thing right.
Gingerbread pudding was drier than usual,if there was whiskey in that sauce it was at homeopathic levels and the only saving grace is that it may have saved us from a similarly accomplished bread pudding.
Cider , yay Magners.. :) Â Could have been a 4 for the dessert and lack of choices on the day we were there.
I decided to catch a world cup match yesterday and came out of there very unhappy with the waitress customer service. It was only my second time there, but I do not plan on returning any time soon, if ever.
First I asked what beers were on tap. Her quick harsh response "it lists them right on the menu" pointing to our menu.
Next, I saw her scolding a group of 8 guys because some of them wanted to move closer to the tv screen. She was upset because they had seperate checks and it would be difficult for her to keep the bills in order (more work for her).
Lastly, I forgot my wife was planning on paying ca$h. I was going to close the bill but forgot I didn't have enough in my account. I apologized for forgetting my wife was going to pay the bill and ordered another appetizer. She crumpled up the bill and tossed it angrily away. Â
The boneless wings weren't bad, a bit salty but ok. no celery either.
I'm sorry if I don't have much of a food review, but if the waitress would have been friendlier, you wouldn't have been reading this either.
A great atmosphere! The pub fair is fantastic and the beer selection is fantastic. Their fish & chips is my favorite, but their Irish Tacos are pretty hard to beat. It was one of my Grandma's favorite places. Great place for a family meal or to toast with friends. Do save room for desert. Their "cookies" are awesome.
It can be easily over looked due to the location in a busy mall. But if you want to support one of the little guy's here's your place! Out door patio seating, bar & large tables to accommodate a variety of events.
I like the atmosphere of this place, and I'm impressed that they've managed to stay alive in a very expensive mall. Â They have a great selection of beers and specialty liquors, especially scotches and whiskeys, and good prices on them. Â I love their pot roast! Â Corned beef and cabbage and their desserts are good, too.
