If could give this place zero stars I would! I used to enjoy going to their previous location to go out at night with friends. Now it seems like their going for more of a daytime restaurant crowd but they've made absolutely no effort to function as a restaurant.

Upon arriving with a party of 11 on a slow Saturday afternoon we didn't get so much as even a hello from any of the staff including managers that clearly saw us walk in. After not even receiving a friendly greet, we had to push together our own small cocktail tables to accommodate our party. Mind you we were here to celebrate a birthday and had every intention of spending a decent amount of money.

After not being greeted for 10 minutes a manager came and told us there would not have a server for at least 15 minutes and gave us the ultimatum to stay or leave. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and stayed. So we tried placing our food order through the bartender and she told us to walk to the kitchen window to order it. So we did. As we ordered, the chef was complaining about the food product costs and his co-worker had zero menu knowledge we had to tell him how much items were priced on the menu. It gets better! After placing our order we decided to get our cocktails while we wait. We waited 20 minutes before any bartender came over. At this point we were all so irritated we contemplated walking out but decided maybe it could turn around. NOPE! It took our food 55 minutes to arrive mind you we had only been served one cocktail in this time as well!!! Then to top it off I asked the cook for red peppers, since there was no server, and he told me to go look for it myself somewhere in the restaurant!! This is by far the absolute worst service any of us had ever received. I urge anyone who plans to dine/drink here NOT to!

They treat you as if you are a burden to them. They could have made hundreds of dollars off of our group but made not even a third of that due to their terrible service. So disappointed. Oh yeah and that server they claimed was coming on never did. Pretty sure they just didn't want to have to work for their money. LAZY, RUDE staff even managers!

    What the heck?!?!

The new Chad's is nothing like the wonderful old location.  I tried to like it but I felt like I was at a banquet at an updated Moose Lodge.  Lights too bright, no rustic feel to it and the place is so much smaller.

The staff was very friendly and I will certainly give it another try when I'm back in hopes it gets much better.

Oh, Chad's, what have they done to you?  Well, for starters, they moved you to the old I-Hop building. Why!?  That building still LOOKS like an I-Hop...complete with all the windows and "wait-to-be-seated" area (could they NOT figure out what to do with the reception area?  Lame.) They turned you into a typical, bright, everyday, run of the mill sports bar...yawn.  Gone is the character and pure divey-ness that WAS Chad's. No more back deck?  Are you kidding me?!  The back deck was a popular hangout regardless of the weather.  Now you have a small'ish front patio. Meh.  I don't like the layout of this new location - it was fun to roam back and forth from the dance floor/band side to the pool table side.  Yeah, sure, you still have pool tables (with hideous lighting and nowhere to sit to watch the pool players play while you wait your turn), live music and, in the tradition of Chad's, you are still 'cash only.'  Thanks oh so much for not changing everything.  Not that it matters to me...I won't be going back.  I miss you, Chad's.  But my heart now belongs to Murray's.  I'll check out Whiskey Dave's, too, when it opens in the location you used to call home - hope it's biker-friendly and not too shiny.  Good luck, Chad's.

A sad side note:  Where in Big Bear am I going to get my yummy, fluffy, delicious Chocolate Chip Pancakes now that I-Hop is gone?  I'm doubly bummed.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! My fiance and I were super excited to visit Chad's new location during our recent visit to Big Bear. When we first walked in, our initial thought was wow this place looks awesome! As my fiance approached the bar to order us drinks, I went to the restroom. When I came out he was still waiting and had yet to be acknowledged. We both stood there for literally about another 15 minutes as waiters/waitresses walked past us, served people around us and even checked on guests who had been sitting there for awhile. Not once did anyone say, "I'll be right with you"....soooo needless to say we left the bar with the intention of never to return. Based on positive reviews of Murray's, we decided to check it out...AWESOME!! It was a nice relief to receive excellent customer service and be surrounded by friendly staff and clientele. If you're looking for a place in which you feel that you business is appreciated and wanted, I recommended passing up Chad's the next time you're in town.

New location is terrible.  Small seating area with horrible fluorescent lighting over the pool tables.   Not conducive for dancing.  The whole place has a bad vibe. Drinks are way overpriced.   Bartender did not know how to make a real basic martini, he had to consult with the bar back and then looked up the recipe on his I-phone!  Worst drink I've ever had!!  We won't be going back.  Looking forward to the opening of Whiskey Dave's at Chad's former location.

The beer is good and cold and the TVs are nice and clear. That's why I went with 3 stars.
It is hot as hell in here. Not sure if the AC is broken or if they don't have one. I know they just moved to this location. Fans set up to attempt to cool this place off. And for some reason, there is a hard boiled egg/surfer smell.
We are going to drink our beer and go.
I will give Chads another chance. Hopefully, they work out the kinks.

Shortly after life on this earth began, there was Chad's Place. Rock and Roll was invented just so there could be some rowdy at Chad's on the weekends. Motorcycles automatically aimed themselves toward Chad's. Life was good.

Now they've moved. And the pool tables are covered with red felt. Red felt! How sad.
