If you're expecting this bar to be anything like the TV show of the same name, walk away from the building!
Cheers is a dive bar in every sense of the word. Draft beer, no liquor, too loud jukebox playing Kid Rock, pictures of naked ladies in the men's room, and NASCAR paraphernalia strewn all over the bar.
Come hear to play pool, or pick a fight.
I'm NOT the bar type BUT I've been to Cheers quite a bit, as it's been a great place to house our old High School (Royal Oak High School- when it was a HS) Get togethers and yes, we PACK the house! Both owners Glen & Mike are some of my old friends and Classmates. Cheers ONLY serves Beer and Wine so you don't get all the regular "partiers" just out looking to get drunk. Their prices are, in my opinion, CHEAP! Lots of great beer on tap - GREAT BIG ONE'S TOO! Â Glen makes sure he gets to know everyone who frequents the place. So they always know you by name! Where else can you go where they want to get to know you and who you are? One of the great things about Cheers! Â Also, Cheers has some GREAT Bartenders! I've seen Annette make sure her patrons don't go overboard and arrive at home safely after close! You can't get service or make new friends that have your back in any other place that I know of...Yes, it's very small but it's a safe haven for those of you who just like to sit and have a beer. It's a clean little place with VERY friendly people! I'm NOT the bar type, but if I were, Cheers is a place I'd be visiting more often...GIVE IT A TRY! When ordering, introduce yourself to Glen (if he's there, he'll be sitting in the first or second chair at the bar) and tell him Jennifer from ROHS sent you! You'll definitely have a great experience! That I can promise! If you play pool, darts, "Hot Spot", Lotto or just love music, they have it all! A cozy little place to just hang out with a bunch of very friendly regulars! :) They do have "specials" on Monday nights with Monday Night Football (one of the more busy nights) as on a few other nights and they do have EVERY sports channel (Prime Ticket?) and have TV's up through out the bar so you won't miss the game if you're playing pool :) Be warned. it is a house of the "Pittsburgh Steelers" lol I saw one review that said the music was too loud, if it is, just ask one of the Bartenders if they can lower the sound, they'll have no problem in doing so :) Also, check out all the pictures of past parties & people etc that are throughout the bar framed on the walls - Yes, I'm there too, can you find me?! I give CHEERS an A+
