I have been going to Chelsea's for some time now and it is a great local bar. Â When they decided to do food I will admit I was a bit skeptical but intrigued. Â Since they have opened I have had the Chelsea's Burger, very good and very big with a heaping helping of fries. Â It was cooked perfectly and came out quickly. Â I tried the Chicken Tenders next and again, good and a lot of food. Â Homemade, tender and juicy. Â They also just started having specials like a Porterhouse Pork Chop and Chicken Fried Chicken. Â I tried both and have to say, this place is not typical bar food at all, it is far beyond. Â
Being that it I a bar I would not recommend it for kids. Â The food comes out quickly and because the portions are so heaping you may considers sharing food. Â They have a Facebook page which is where I heard about the specials so that is nice that it is posted, they even have photos of some of the food. Â Dress is very casual and there are many TV's as well as music. Â
If you are a fan of casual dining and great food you should really check this place out!
Glad I get to be the first to review.
This place is great, very happy I stumbled on it when I moved to town a two years ago. If you're looking for a casual place to enjoy with friends that doesn't try to be anything more than it is, Chelseas is your place!
Beer selection is solid, average stock on tap (standard domestics, labatt, and one or two specialties that rotate). They have a lot more in terms of bottles. They recently started serving food and I have been satisfied every time. Once again, if you're looking for gourmet go somewhere else, but when it comes to the bar staples Chelseas blows all the other places away. I hear the chicken tenders are hand battered! Plus the serving size is HUGE! Either be hungry or consider ordering a half portion which is offered on all appetizers and sandwiches.
Service here is great and honestly that's what has kept me coming back, you just cannot match it anywhere else. Jason and Amanda are superb in their craft. FYI both are walking shot-encyclopedias. If you don't know what you want, odds are these two do! Just point them in the general direction and you won't be disappointed.
Give it a shot (pun not intended), if you come in and aim to have a good time you will.
