Where do I start? Â Â This is an incredible little place in the Falls. Â Â I had the chicken saltimbocca, and it was heavenly. Â My wife had a burger served on a bun that was an artisanal treat in itself. Â French fries were crispy and plentiful. Â The menu is limited to a handful of items that they are really good at. Â Atmosphere is casual. Â It's all about the food.
My only complaint is that the seating in the booths isn't very comfortable. Â I'll go with a table next time. Â
I'm not a wine drinker so I can't speak to their wine list, but the draft beer selection, while brief, is first rate. Â It included Founder's Breakfast Stout. Â Do you know the only other place I've been able to find that world class beer on tap? Â At Founders brewpub in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Â That's where. Â Somebody here knows great beer. Â And if you prefer standard beers, they have a lot in bottles.
At last, an awesome dinner restaurant. in the Falls. Â You've got to check it out.
We just had a wonderful meal at Darby's. We had the pastry wrapped brie with candied nuts and topped with fresh berries. It was wonderful. The best appetizer I have ever eaten. My entree was an flat iron steak with a etouffee gravy, asparagus and risotto all cooked to perfection. Then it was time for dessert. They had two on the menu. It was hard to decide so we had both. One was a bread pudding with a whiskey butter. It was delicate and light, full of flavor. The other was fried cheesecake. It was the perfect cheesecake for cheesecake lovers like us. It was warm and topped with fresh berries.
It is tastefully decorated with a friendly staff. The chef even stopped by the table to make sure we enjoyed our meal. It was our first time going to Darby's, but it won't be our last. I am already planning another trip with friends in the near future.
