Went here today after a friend's recital. Sunday 4:30 PM. We waited for 15 minutes no one came to even introduce themselves as our server, so we got up and left. On the way out, another customer heard us complaining and commented she had called to let them know her party of 12 was on the way when she was told there was only one wait staff working. Not good!!! We went to Texas Roadhouse and cold not have had a more pleasant experience.
Review Source:Oh Chili's-you did not disappoint. We were seated right away. Our host took our drink orders and explained that he would not be our waiter for the night but that JP would be taking care of us for the rest of the night. Our drinks were brought to us in no time and over the course of the evening we had quickly re-filled cups. I couldn't decide on the soup I wanted and the waiter was able to give me a personal suggestion. The soup and salad were great (even though I did as for NO onions on my salad and they were present, anyway. Maybe he felt bad about seeing all the lone onions on my plate after dinner because he didn't charge us for our fountain drinks! That helped make the onion ordeal better.
The atmosphere was trendy but not loud. I really appreciated that since I was with 2 others and we all wanted to talk and get to know each other. I have been to other Chili's in the past only to be disappointed by how loud it was. Also, I don't know if it was the location or the fact that I haven't been to a Chili's since leaving Illinois, but it seemed that the menu had better options on it.
I was only over in Lafayette for a conference but if I'm ever back in the area, I would eat here again.
