I came here with a birthday party of 6 for hibachi. The overall theme of the night was that we were rushed through the entire experience (minus waiting to be seated). As soon as we sat down, they started taking drink orders. Fine... except if I say I need another minute, I mean at least one minute and not 15 seconds. Then, we were asked what we'd like to order immediately after by another server. I get that it's hibachi and orders need to be placed so that everything can get to the chef for the presentation, but I didn't even have my drink yet. Totally felt overwhelmed.
The hibachi show was the shortest I'd seen. He skipped over people for the famous "sake shooter" move, which was pretty lame. And the food was typical hibachi style. You go for the experience, not the cuisine.. so I'm not going to hold that against them.
I checked my watch when they gave us the bill. 30 minutes. That's how fast they were accelerating through the whole dining experience for a meal that is NOT at fast food prices. Unfortunately, Killington does not have a landmark Japanese restaurant worth going to. Don't try to make this one work, not worth the $$. Maybe better for apres ski drinks, Asian style?
You know, only if the owners would hire better waitresses/waiters, this place would be great. Unfortunately you have to deal with slow, non-caring help. And worse of all you have to give them 20% tip if you have a table if 6+. And waitresses know this so there is no service whatsoever due to this policy. HEY OWNERS, your help is slacking! Try to show up more and check up on them so we can get the service we are paying so much for!
