We went to eat at Ole Bobs but didn't realize they're closed on Wednesday, so we wondered back here. Certainly glad we did. The server was nice, the halibut good and g&t was great. Halibut was battered,  fried crisp, flaky and most inside. The fries were also crisp and creamy inside. I appreciated the fact our food was served hot!  The menu is extensive and I can't wait to order something else. Next time I'm in the big city of Chinook buying lottery tickets.. I just know I'm going to win.. I'm stopping here. I can drown my non-winning sorrows with some great food!

This great little place is a typical small town diner and lounge.  Nothing fancy, but clean with good service.  First day we just had clam chowder and liked it a lot.  We also had an order of garlic bread sticks, and they were fantastic!  Came back the next morning for breakfast, and despite being busy with a large group, the service was again prompt.  We ordered of the "for those with smaller appetities" menu (bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast).  Nothing special about the food but it was well-prepared and tasty.  Would have preferred the hash browns a little crispier, but not a big deal.  This is good, simple comfort food you can count on.

We drove down here from Seaview during busy kite festival.  Nice to find a family run diner serving great classic diner food, and not busy (compared to Long Beach).

Chicken fried steak, sandwiches, RibEye steak, etc. here  Lots of locals and fisherman here.

Ribeye steak cooked right, no seasoning (?), came with baked potato plain with butter and canned vegetables.  Dinner salad was fresh.  Garlic bread sticks I think were actually straight donuts (deep fried), family loved em.  Kid inhaled his chicken fried steak, wife like the Reuben ok.

I'd come here again, wavering between 3 and 4 stars on this one.

Dont know how this place has a single $ rating, you're not getting out of here for less than $10/person unless you just have soup/water.

Nice, simple family owned and operated establishment. Dad cooks and daughter was our server.  Both were very personable and on top of things. I had the seafood platter that was amazingly fresh and well prepared. Clams were meaty, with just the right amount of crunch. All of our food was really well made and flavourful. Prices were moderate, but they did offer some specials.

Some of the best strawberry shortcake that we ever had was served here. It's the real deal with fresh biscuits, grilled with butter and spices topped with fresh strawberries and whipping cream.  Amazing stuff!!!

Large bar adjacent to the dining room which seemed to be very popular.

    Nice family place.

I've been here many times and never had any complaints. Half of the place is your standard diner, the other half is the lounge/bar area.

The diner is a very standard menu with standard food. They go after the local business and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and works hard.

I've only been to the lounge once or twice. I was pregnant, so I can't comment on the drinks! There are pool tables and a big screen TV and groups of older locals who hang out there regularly.

If you're looking for a good simple meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to go!
