One of the worst pizzas I've eaten in my entire life.  Bought a large pie, took one bite and left the rest.  If you have any sense of taste, stay away from this place.

They should really consider changing the name of this place to just "Ciao" because the management appears to be quite adept at saying goodbye to quite a few things - including palatable food, competent service, and repeat customers. As others have already alluded to, this place is amateur hour at its finest, and I wouldn't recommend venturing here for anything more than a bathroom break or a celebratory meal with someone you don't really like.

Food: Ciao Bella is a casual Italian restaurant in a neighboring town of Gettysburg - and by casual Italian I mean borderline American and my restaurant I mean pizza joint with some appetizers. The menu consists of standard and unimaginative "red sauce" fare, including pizza, baked ziti, chicken parmesan, and spaghetti and meat balls. During my visit, I opted for the manicotti, which was bland, meagerly portioned, and among the worst renditions of the entree that I've ever ingested. In keeping with this theme, the meal was preceded by a complimentary basket of stale and underseasoned bread sticks that were mildly reminiscent of toasted Wonder bread cut into rectangles and sprinkled with garlic. We opted to forego dessert, but I'm fairly confident that it would have been equally as horrifying.

Service: Incredibly inexperienced. Our waitress was not familiar with the menu, spilled sauce all over one of the members of our party, and wasn't even able to identify the entrees when delivering them to the table. By the end of the meal, I felt sorry for the girl because the management had clearly thrown her to the wolves with absolutely no training whatsoever. The wait time was also excruciatingly long considering that we were essentially the only occupied table in the place.

Atmosphere: Very casual and no-frills. The interior is closer to what you'd expect from a take-out pizza place than a sit-down restaurant. Also, I'm not sure if it was due to lack of air conditioning or the pizza ovens being in such close proximity to the main dining room, but the inside of this place was hotter than satan's lair. The restaurant does have a very small outdoor patio, which would be my recommendation if the weather cooperates.

Cost: Inexpensive, but still not worth the price. Most appetizers are $5-$7, while entrees are $10-$15. The wines are not particularly impressive, but quite cheap - most offerings are between $5-$7 a glass.

Other: Hours of operation are Tuesday-Thursday, 11AM-9:30PM, Friday-Saturday, 11AM-10:30PM, and Sunday, noon-9PM. Both dine-in and takeout service are available. The restaurant has a large and free private parking lot. Reservations are accepted.

Would love to recommend this but cannot.  Dined there last week.  Very poor service.  Two in our party had the pasta and meatballs.  One asked for extra sauce and after trying to explain what he wanted several times was told he would have to pay extra which he assured the waitress would be fine.  When the pasta came there was very little sauce, meatballs not at all tasty.  I had a crabcake that I was not able to eat.  All in all it was not a good experience.  Maybe it would be ok for pizza but I don't think we will go back.

We were visiting Gettysburg and needed something for dinner.. it was kind of late we thought we would stop someplace and grab a pizza... We were  suggested  Bela Italian. The food was delicious great prices, fast services... we ordered a large plain pie and the calamari... delicious.. we also tried two of the local beers...
We will add this to our list of places to come back to...!
