Club 550

Gross. Smoky and smelly, just a totally grungy dive. Thought I would contract a virus from sitting on a stool. My friend and I stayed for one drink, as the only good part was that it was Ladies Night, so the first cocktail was $1. People came in dressed in pajama bottles and slippers. I got ogled by toothless men. Just. No.

One word, TERRIBLE.  Bartender seemed to be doing me a favor by making our drinks -- she also wasn't fond of our juke box choices and turned the music down.  Nobody was smoking at the time; however the bar had a permanent smell of smoke that we took with us on our clothes.

This place is beat.

i should have taken pictures at the club but come to think of it, it would be best if the club remains a mystery so only those who dare get to see what it looks like. i ended up here with my friends who are locals and told me this was the only thing to do in north conway after 10pm.

we are driving on 'the strip' and i see the club as its not hard to spot. the big sign right outside of it gives it away. it reads "club". its dark inside, theres a dj, the floors are dirty and all sorts of types of characters are here, including us. the bartender chic looked rad. i wanted to high five her from the moment i saw her. my friends drink awful beer so this round will be on me. ill go for ketel one which they have and its cheap.

went to the pool room which is also their smoking section. awful, if you dont like cigarette smoke you will hate this area. its so smoky i probably second-handed a pack by myself. but i played pool and i sucked at it, which sparked a conversation with other mediocre players around. everyone is happy and the ketel one keeps on flowing.

the dance floor is grotesque, i mean that in good spirits. if you like surreal, this is your shit. i may or may not have gotten an std or two just by dancing to three songs in here. this place doesnt care. the club is so rad even its one star reviews are awesome.
