I'm so so so happy we found this place on Yelp! Had the BEST time, everyone was so friendly, drinks were nice and strong, the band ROCKED. Can't wait to go back, Club Bombay totally made my Big Bear vacation.

Wow, not would you would expect from the outside. Beautiful inside.  Small bar but gracious staff and well made drinks. Bob the Builder Bartender was so nice and he sang with the band and was really, really good!  The band rocked!!!!! I will definitely come back when I come back to the mountains. Average prices. But great drinks.

If I could give place 7 stars I would. I had such an amazing time here. We got there pretty early so we were the only ones there. The bartender/owner made us lemon drops and it was prefect, less lemon more alcohol lol. We had such  great conversation with him on culture, different countries and religion. He is not only friendly but also very well-read and intelligent. We pretty much spent most of our evening there. And then stumbled back to Sherwood forest since it is so close. This was my second time in this place and both times it has gone above and beyond my expectation. And they have pretty good live music, along with awesome drinks.

What a fun little bar.  Live music and good atmosphere.  Comfortable and lively with locals and tourists.  Great service with a bar tender that was paying attention.  a good time!

This a place for grown up's that still want to let loose and have fun.  Unlike other bars in the area, this one has class and does not have the "local" problems.  The ambiance was great and the music was amazing.  They have a live band Friday and Saturday that can play any song you ask them too.

The drinks weren't over priced.  Beer and wine are reasonable and the Martini's were great, I suggest the Jalapeno Blood Orange.

    Just another gem

Love this place. My perfect bar. Comfortable with a couch and fireplace. TVs with football but not loud and rowdy to distract me from my book. Spent a snowy Sunday afternoon reading while G watched playoffs. Cozy and homey. Creative drinks. Had the owner's "Irish coffee". Unique and delish.

This is one of my favorite spots when I come visit family up in Big Bear! The music is always great, the people are super friendly, and the ambiance is really nice. A great place to chill, kick back and have a drink!

Also we ended up checking this place out on NYE, but after midnight.. the vibe was so great, we coined it 'Cheers', and made us wish we had made Bombay our first stop of the night!

Great decor - warm.  Very relaxed place - played checker, watched tourists and drank beer.  Nice bartender - friendly.  Good prices.  We'll be back.

The owner and bar attendant are very welcoming and friendly. Comfortable with a nice ambiance, and the music and TVs were not overpoweringly loud like some bars. We were able to bring in take out from the restaurant next door as well. Will be back when we are in Big Bear Lake next.

Bartender was so nice . And she was very friendly and it was very mellow and prices weren't ridiculous . I'm definitely coming back and I love bartenders that drink on the job :)

Club Bombay is a warm and beautiful bar with an exceptional owner and bartender!  I had the opportunity to visit this past weekend and I was very impressed.  It was a Friday night and the live music was outstanding!  The atmosphere is laid back, the drinks are absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to go back!

This is a place you can walk into and immediately feel welcomed.   In my brief experience so far living here, Big Bear has some very welcoming, friendly bartenders  -- Murray's, Sandy's and B's Boathouse bartenders are great --  but Heather at Club Bombay is the most hospitable and entertaining of all, and she's extremely talented at making mixed drinks.  Try her blood orange and jalapeno martini for something different.   The music on weekends is enjoyable and done by professionals, not fellow drinkers on a Karaoke machine.  As another review says, it's a class act and not your typical Big Bear bar -- in a good way if you like a slightly more upscale bar than the average.  Message to women: I think it's a place where you can go and be safe, respected, and welcomed.  Overall, it reminds me of Cheers, the bar in the TV show of the same name.

My wife and I enjoyed two evenings at Club Bombay. The music was good (classic rock and some blues) and the bartender friendly and knowledgeable. The first night we had a G and T and Makers Mark on the rocks, which were both reasonably priced. The second night I enjoyed my Manhattan which was well made. But beware the prices. The Manhattan was $13.50, and while large was made of Wild Turkey and average albeit fresh vermouth. The wife's Tanqueray (not Tanqueray 10 mind you) was $12.50. All in all a pleasant evening only slightly marred by the $56 price tag for 4 drinks!

This place has serious potential.  The bartendar was really nice. We came here on a Sunday night, and the place was empty, but the music was flowing and so were the drinks.
Good place if your coming with a group of people.

Club Bombay is a class act.  The wife and I went to Club Bombay this past Saturday night after dinner.  Its a bit small but decorated in warm wood, leather and art, which puts off a nice ambiance while not being too mountainy. Its not your typical Big Bear bar.  The bartender/owner was friendly and welcoming.  Even when she was slammed making coctails she acknowlegded newcomers.  They have a unique and interesting martini menu.  I stuck with the standard manhattan and it was made to perfection. A live band started around 7:30 or 8:00 and really livened the place up.   As a regular weekender I am really glad to have this place that's a cut above the rest in Big Bear.  I'm sure I will be spending a lot of time there.  All they need is to add some appetizers.

Came here with my friends during a snowboarding visit from San Diego and I must say this place is awesome. Heather, you are an awesome bartender! PLEASE call me the next time Penn Badgley is in there! Your drinks were crazy strong but crazy delicious. Atmosphere was great; we had a great time with the locals. Will definitely be back during our next visit!

I was there last evening with my husband and 2 other couples.  We had a wonderful time.  Drinks were superb...especially the Brandy Alexander the bartender Heather makes with egg nog....delicious.  The drinks are strong and tall.  Nice atmosphere.  Small and intimate place, with live music on the night we were there (Saturday).  Easy parking right behing the bulding as a note, with a back entrance so you don't have to walk all the way around.  No food...just snacks like pretzels and nuts.  The live music ws pleasant and I would definitely go back there again.  Oh and the Sat night NFL game was on their 2 big tv's for those so inclined!!!

Who says a small mountain village can't rock with the big boys?  A group of us spent thanksgiving in big bear for some rest and relaxation.  Of course, that lasted about 4 hours and we were on the prowl for a lounge with some interesting libations.  Coming from vegas, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to martinis.  I must say, the place was a great find.  The decor is eclectic with imported art, the chairs are comfy encouraging hours of drinking (which we did), the bartender, heather, was knowledgable and so friendly.  The martini list is impressive as is the beer list.  Do they have miller lite, sure....but be adventurous, try one from italy? I recommend milano amber.  my new fav martini is their pumpkin martini..holiday  season in a glass.  So go visit big bear for the outdoors....but do not miss this local gem! You're sure to be thirsty and this will hit the spot!
