First things first:
It is a local island bar with pub food. Â It's not a fast food place so you will not get your food fast.
Now on to what you will get:
colorful locals.
good beer selection
excellent excellent fries. Â (did i say OMG excellent?)
good prices.
specials
owner tending bar
made to order food. Â . . so you wait a while for a real cheeseburger that leaves you wantint to come back. . it's worth the wait and besides you are on block island--where else do you need to be 'right away'.
kid friendly area away from bar
pool table
juke box but not too loud.
good pizza--probably best on island
i think i could say more but you get the jist-------
i love this place. i frequent it often and i never leave there unhappy.
but if you are in a hurry sort of person it will not work out for you.
so  sit down, grab a beer and relax.
Good local dive right down the block from the home we rented.
We walked back in the dark, and man it was dark and it was scary- like the beginning of every horror movie. Â
Free pool, fuseball, arcade games. Â Couldn't figure out why the dart board is behind an arcade game. Â The bartender is chatty, and good. Â
The patrons seem to all be locals. Â Some strange folks there the night we went, let me tell you. Â But that is part of the fun. Â
When you get tired of the tourist traps on the island, come check out this local's hangout.
I dig this place. Â It has a couple pool tables, a foosball table, and has live music. Â Oh, and it's off the beaten path and very unassuming...the kind of place you drive by at 10am and say "No, we weren't drinking there last night, were we?" Â For those of you who have been to Joe's Twin Villa (RIP), you know what I mean.
