If you want to see pimp-like players past their primes, creative and cooky grandmothers and great aunts, then the Coaches Corner Club in the Cliff is the one for you!

Look, this was my first outing in the Big D after being in Dallas for one year and that was about two years ago. I went with a friend not really understanding what to wear because she said casual. However Dallas' casual is not casual. I had a jean skirt on and a plain top with flats for comfort. That was a NO.

I saw cowboy hats, pinstripes, church suits, rings on all fingers, too little tops with muffin top bellies, older men who had semi-permanent bending knees and much more.

The music was so way back for me (I graduated high school in 1995) that I could sing along only sometimes. Needless to say the DJ was not current at any time.

There seemed to be one way in and out. I can't recall fire exits. The interior design needs a makeover and the dance stage is a little bigger than bedroom floor size.

Its not very large so its hard to maneuver, small dance floor, if you get there later then you will be standing (because unless a man is with friends and finds you attractive) a man will not get up for ladies.

The drinks are not exclusive and the prices were not pocket friendly.

They have comedy nights about once a month. (have not gone to that yet)

On my second (and last) trip there I saw a fight between some women who looked to be around my mother's age. A wig was pulled off but they quickly ushered the fight outdoors.

The parking lot is not the safest looking (as for lighting and security), but not the most dangerous and there was a barbeque sale going on for those who had the after club munchies.

Would I return? Maybe as often as a solar eclipse.

i would give 5 stars based on the experience. but in my reviews, i take every aspect into consideration...so I have subtracted one star due to the neighborhood and the physical attributes of this place. it's in oak cliff off westmoreland. it's in a shopping center. it is definitely a hole in the wall....but i have to be honest and say i had the time of my life. as long as i've lived in dallas, until my visit to coaches corner, i hadn' t experienced this much fun. i like old school music and that's what this place plays. the customer service was great. the dj was great. the crowd was happy....i can't wait to go back

Had a great time. Best time so far in Dallas area.Love the fact that it was not crowed but yet had a nice size crowd. The drinks and bar staff were great and the prices were reasonable
