RT is definitely a place to stop and get your drink, groove, and grub on. Â But if you're old school you'll have to get there early. Â Make it your first stop of the night, which is too bad.
Overall, this is a great place to hang out with your friends and get your party on. Â There's great crowd a good mix of ladies and guys. Â I've been here for several birthday parties and it's totally off the chain. Â The eats are truly awesome from the chicken wings to the catfish, this kitchen knows how to cook! Â
For the birthday parties they will bring out large platters of wings and/or catfish. Â The other food on the menu has been exceedingly good as well. Â So far nothing has been bad or questionable.
They make good drinks, not the watered down stuff you sometimes get at other clubs. Â There's a moderately good selection of bottled beers. Â The wait staff does tend to slow down a bit when the place fills up, but understandable, trying to move between and around the mess of people is tough enough when you're not carrying drinks. Â For the most part the wait staff is friendly and quick enough.
One the nights I've been here, they have a mix of DJ and Live band. Â The live band has been really good, absolutely worth the cover.
The only compliant, if you're into old school music you have to come early. Â Because the later it gets the DJ starts playing for more new rap and hip-hop, not a mix of old school & hip-hop. Â Maybe they might consider an old school night. Honestly, it appears the younger people dance to both. Â But the older crowd tends to leave before they'd like too.
I'd like to party until close myself. Â And I've been on a different nights, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, but it's pretty the same every night.
We partied here Saturday night for my friend's barhopping bachlorette party and I ordered the catfish basket .....OMFG it was GOOOOOOD! 3 big fish fillets and waffle fries and grilled buttered toast for only 9.99 and it was well worth it!! Honestly its some of the best catfish Ive ever tasted and I eat out alot!!! I wonder if they have take-out!! If your in the mood for some unbelievable catfish then this is your place!
Review Source:A friend and I went to check out my colleague's band, NTense, and had a pretty good time. Â First, I was a little apprehensive because of the sports bar label. Â When I got there, however, I was very surprised at how spacious yet cozy the place is. Â It's really clean and has a nice stage area for a small band. Â The area they cleared for the dance floor was very roomy and clean, as well.
My one complaint (and the reason for four stars) is that the DJ played some good (R&B) dance music at the end of the band's set, but drifted into the more thuggish cuts the later it got. Â I wanted to dance the night away, but we got really annoyed and left. Â That baffled me, because he packed the floor with the old school music.
The drinks and food are very reasonably priced, simple, and delicious! Â I had BBQ wings and sweet potato fries that were simply off the chain! Â Even though I was in a sports bar, I saw martinis on the menu; so I went for it. Â I had a regular "dirty" martini that was very good! Â My friend said she loved her grilled chicken salad (which she couldn't finish) and loved her Cosmopolitan.
So, the DJ issue aside, we had a great time for only about $30, which included the cover to get in to see the band (who were great, too).
