Went here for lunch with a work colleague. Service was okay. Utensils dirty. Napkins cheap. Food was just okay -- nothing that you couldn't get at the prepared food counter in Shop-Rite (and maybe not as good). I am fine with charming, quaint old-school luncheonettes, but it doesn't look like the owners here have invested $1 in the place in forty years. The bathroom is the smallest one I have ever seen, and except for the toilet, the room was filthy and very run-down. This place is not what I'd expect in a town like Bernardsville. If the food was unique or delicious, I'd say fine. Otherwise, I can think of no reason I'd go back here.

This old-school diner is like a dive bar but for food, I love it. You know the famous Edward Hopper picture of the people in the diner?  That's this place in 2012, only without the cool glass front.

Three of us enjoyed a great lunch here. We sat in a booth and admired the stools at the counter.  How many places still have a counter? There's table service and the help is pretty good about refilling your drink.

I got a grilled cheese with tuna, it would be a tuna melt anywhere else.  Six bucks for an enormous sandwich that was perfectly toasted.  A side of fries was done golden brown and crispy.

Bring cash, but you won't need a lot.  We'll definitely be back.

Great food and quick service at a very reasonable price.

This family run business makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. I'm in there most every Saturday for breakfast. The service is excellent. My wife and I love the omelets. The grandkids enjoy the chocolate chips pancakes. My wife will sometimes drop by for lunch too. She loves the salads which are made from fresh ingredients. If you want a tasty meal at hometown prices, be sure to stop by.

Small town, old fashioned luncheonette.  Friendly staff, good value.  Wife and I had omlettes - mine cheese and broccli, her was spinach and feta cheese - both excellent.  Good coffee.

Class act. Still small town in Bernardsville which is no longer a small town.
This is the coffee shoppe of my dreams.  Friendly staff, flavorful food. Try a sausage egg and cheese.  Unlike the mixed scrap sandwiches you get at most every other diner in NJ.

Their sausages are chosen for their FLAVOR!

Great diner for breakfast and lunch. Fantastic omelets, egg sandwiches, pancakes and French toast. Burgers are superb as is the turkey club. Kids luv the chicken & rice soup and the waitresses!  Good local mix and atmosphere

Great diner-style Greek restaurant in the center of town. Great soups, breakfasts, everything you would expect from a well-run diner.
