I started working in Victor a couple of months ago and Cole and Parks has become my go-to lunch place. Their fixed menu is good (I'm a fan of the southwestern salad in particular: chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cheese, and chickpeas). There are two soups of the day, along with a sandwich or flatbread of the day and a salad of the day, at least one of which usually sounds appealing to me. I'm also happy that you can get most of their breakfast menu at any time of day.
The service and atmosphere are good. You order at a counter and take a numbered placard to your table, where someone will bring you your food. Orders of soup or cold sandwiches come out quickly, although paninis will take five or six minutes, even if the place is relatively empty. Cole and Parks occupies a huge old house, so there's plenty of seating (including outside and upstairs) and you're eating in what was clearly someone's living room. Altogether, a solid soup and sandwich place: not worth a trip by itself, but an easy choice for lunch when you want some variety.

Stopped for breakfast with my sister this morning  and were disappointed with 2 of our meals. I had broccoli quiche which was warm, very small and stiff like it had been sitting around & reheated too many times. My wife had a waffle & it was so cold the butter would not melt. My sister had a burrito and it was ok. This is the 3rd time we have been there in 1 month and we agree with other reviewers that there dirty tables and no follow up by the staff on how we like the food. The place has great ambiance but the shortcomings in the food & service have turned us off especially when there are many other choices in the Victor/Eastview area. Maybe a new hands on manager can turn it around.
I took my nanny charge & niece here on an unexpectedly warm spring day as they offered outdoor seating and we had our pet bunny with us. I walked in and was surprised (confused) to find it more coffee shop/cafe than restaurant although the display cases made it feel like a bakery! Great atmosphere, would love to sit in here with a coffee and my laptop. Quiet and pretty empty which was a plus but surprising. The menu had a lot of healthy options, I ordered a cranberry, feta & walnut salad that was fresh and delicious. The girls had some pretty fancy grilled cheese sammies with a side of apples that came with caramel sauce. For dessert they each picked different massive cupcakes. Impressive all around. Only drawback was the of kennel noise from down the road. This place could really benefit from some advertising as it is quite a gem! The space would also be wonderful for a party or fundraisers.
Review Source:Went in this morning (around 9am) for breakfast with a friend of mine. Â I had been here once before and remember it being pretty good, so wanted to try it again.
It was basically empty when I came it, but had to wait for 5 minutes or more to place my order. Â All three people working up front seemed to be working on one woman's order.
I selected the French Toast Bake, my friend had the spinach quiche. Â She had a coffee drink of some sort and I opted for a bottled juice. Â The wait wasn't long at all, but it was clearly evident that this food was just reheated. Â It took no time at all to prepare, and it definitely had the reheated/stale taste going on. Â Not that it was terrible, but I expected better. Â The size of my portion was plenty big, though my friend's quiche looked like shrank in the microwave.
The ambiance is warm like a coffee shop. Â We sat in the room with the fireplace which added a bit to the atmosphere. Â 9-10am on a Wednesday morning is obviously not busy, but that translated into a fairly empty room where your conversation bounces off the walls and vaulted ceiling. Â I felt like people were listening in on our conversations.
After this second trip, I probably wouldn't waste my time here on breakfast again. Â Maybe for coffee I would go back if I was in the area. Â It's too far out of the way for me to make a special trip of it.
Love the ambiance and food/drink are great. Not thrilled with their staff on the past few visits and they seem to rush you out before closing. I personally think they should stay open past 7pm - seems like whenever I am there, they are getting ready to force me out the door. Love the place but this to me, is an issue.
Review Source:Just stopped here for a bite before getting on the road to go back to New York. This was a charming place - cozy and warm - with lots of choices for lunch. You order at a counter, they give you a number and you find a seat and they deliver your food to your table when ready. Â We all had paninis and they were tasty and not at all greasy, as panini can sometimes be.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. I'll go back when in Rochester again
Found out about this place from a friend who had experienced their cookies before. Stopped in for breakfast with two friends and had a breakfast panini with egg, sausage, spinach, and black bean spread. One friend ordered the same and the other ordered the French toast. We all really enjoyed our food. The coffee was excellent. I also bought a half dozen cookies and I have to say they are pretty good too. Very moist and flavorful. Overall, a good experience.
