Columbia Street Tap Room

This is actually a review for the Seiler Bar which is part of, but separate from, the main Tap Room.

Seiler Bar is the fancier cousin of the Tap Room. While the Tap Room caters to a younger crowd, Seiler Bar seems to be going for the young professional and somewhat older crowd. This is not a bad thing, unless you're a young malcontent.

Because it is affiliated with the Tap Room, the beer selection is excellent. There are several different IPAs, and the bar likes to focus on local brews such as those from Chafunkta Brewing in Mandeville. I had no idea that brewery existed until my last visit to this bar. If beer isn't your thing, there is a large wine list along with all of the premium liquors.

My favorite part of the bar is their patio. If the weather is nice it is a great place to sit with friends. It even has a fence that faces the street which makes for excellent people watching on busy nights.
