This was our second trip...we had carry-out this time. The second time around was not as stellar of an experience. We ordered a Surf & Turf, Broiled Seafood Platter, and Crab Dip. First, I had to pick up the order in an extremely smokey part of the restaurant (the Pub)...Secondly, I realized when I got home they missed the cheesy scalloped potatoes and it was way too far of a drive to go and pick them up...Third, the crab cake had a ton of cartilage in it-- I eat crabcakes regularly that have the jumbo lump crab just like this one and there is NEVER that much extra stuff in those cakes- I think they did an absolutely poor job of cleaning the meat. Lastly, the brussel sprouts tasted like they were out of a can and not fresh-- I have never had "fresh" ones like these before. Our bill for two of us was nearly $90 for carry-out, I have no problem paying that for an exceptional meal...this one was not.
A few good notes-- the food was hot when we arrived home, the chocolate raspberry butter is awesome and they gave us an extra one because I asked....the steak was cooked to perfection as was the lobster tail. The crab dip was delicious, just as before.
Honestly, I am not sure if we will go back again--there are some good things, but I think there are so many other restaurants that do it right for that price...we don't have to take the risk with this one.
Tried this place out last night and was pleasantly surprised. Â There was a nice ambiance with the enclosed patio seating and candles. Â Wine was reasonably priced and the menu had a lot to choose from. Â They had a lobster florentine filet special that night and it was amazing. Â Worth every penny the $26 price. Â I'm definitely going to have to try that recipe myself.
Review Source:I went there for the first time yesterday. I didn't sit in the rest. side, only the bar side. The bartender was very sweet and the capt and cokes are only $3.75. Â There were football games on the tv's and nascar, and the special was Mussels for $1.75. Â We ordered them expecting not so much do to the price, but they were EXCELLENT!!!!! Â I'll def be going back there. Â I saw the menu and yes the food seems a little pricey, but if it's worth it to find something clever and unusual to eat, I'm in!!!
Review Source:Would recommend this place with only one side note...food is excellent, price isn't. Searched and searched for their menu online and after finally locating it I place a to go order. Ordered a Cobb salad, chicken phoenix, and steak and shrimp wasabi.
Like I said, good was excellent. Mine came with the veggy of the day which was Asian green beans, very good! The dinning area is small so I'm glad we went with take out. Info on this place says attire is casual, but when I went to pick up my order I noticed everyone was dressed up. Got some looks when came in there wearing jeans, lol!
The only reason I won't give this place 5 stars is due to prices. Quality and quantity are good here, but lets get real...this is located in the middle of nowhere, the demand for this place doesn't meet the prices charged.
I heartedly recommend this place for the atmosphere. Â Get away from the hustle and bustle and head up North George Street. Â Keep going past downtown Manchester until you pass a bridge and it will be there on the side of the road with a bright sign. Â You can't miss it.
Great bloody mary. Â Excellent menu but a bit pricey so if you on a date, add a few bills to your wallet. Â I want to go back for the brunch though. Â Will let you know how that goes.
Have never eatin inside...never will. Not my style....although the food does NOT match the atmosphere. I friend of mine ordered take out from here and let me tell you it was 5 star quality food up in there.
I love fine dining and this is up there. The crab dip...amazing. I always order to go because when you pull up you'll wonder if this is the write place and right review. I'm telling you anything seafood is excellent, the steak made perfectly, sides homemade. The food is on point. Perfect if you want dinner for two at home, just order from here and act like you made it. Ha.
Great for take-out and people are friendly...scary, but friendly. Didn't get all the stars because I just can't hang inside and the fact it is expensive. Priced right though how it should be for the quality food you get.
