For a restaraunt in White House this is about as good as it gets aside from Los Agaves. Â The food was excellent. Â Chicken fingers were awesome, fried pickles were good, I had the shrimp boil which was the best shrimp I've had since I've moved to Tennessee from Florida. Â My wife had the dijon chicken which was awesome. Â Chicken was perfectly cooked and all the goodies it was topped with were delicious. Â Only reasone I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it's a little on the high end for price. Â Especially for White House.
Review Source:Food is excessively deep fried with few healthy options, but the service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice.
My only real complaint is that everything tasted like it had been fried in the same grease as onion rings, which overpowered my food with a strong onion flavor. If you ordered onion rings, that's fine. But most people don't want everything on their plate to taste like onions.
The food came in large portions at reasonable prices. Two people could probably share and still be satisfied. And since most everything is pretty unhealthy, I wouldn't recommend going very often, for your health's sake. (Even the desserts are deep fried! I'm surprised they didn't deep fry the salads and bread.)
Really friendly staff though and unique sauces. The sweet potato fries came with a buttery cinnamon dipping sauce that I wanted to eat with a spoon!
Lastly, I wanted to mention the bathroom was very clean. I've heard that bathrooms are indicators of how good or bad management is because they're easy to neglect. This one was clean, brightly lit with plenty of soap and paper towels.
Total surprise to find a place like this in White House. Local pork and beef (antibiotic-free), local produce, homemade dressings and desserts. Â Burger cooked medium was one of the best I've ever had. Fried green beans were excellent. Atmosphere, decor, service were all fantastic. We've driven by it 100 times, and its so unassuming from the outside, had no idea such a great local treasure was inside! Â Oh, and family of 4 ate for $50 incl tax and tip (this would have been a $75 meal in Nashville). Will definitely be back again and again!
