Ehh. Uhh. Â Only reason it's not Meh is because it was pretty darn cheap. Â I was drawn to it by the I-65 Highway sign for a "1930s Soda Shop." Â That kind of thing will get your attention.
No parking. Â We parked on a side street. Â All right. Â We went in, and all was cheap, but I was not thrilled that they contradicted the menu about refills. Â Whatever. Â The Egg Cream I got was nice, especially as it was the first time I had it, and we enjoyed the Salty Lemonade Soda, but I didn't feel that the customer service was really up to par.
There was a lot of "stuff" for sale, but none of it was really attractive: mostly decorative and for old ladies, as far as I can tell.
The food was cheap, so I imagine that its decent, but it won't be enough to bring me back.
This place was a wonderful stop and worth getting off the thruway for. Â The ladies working there, including the owner, were so kind and friendly. Â The place was filled with locals and was clean and kept pretty original. Â The back of the building is still a working pharmacy. Â We had a turkey pita which was fresh and delicious. Â Their entire menu is on their site. Â They had a great selection of gift items also.
