I don't know about you, but I don't expect much in terms of cuisine from a billiards bar. Well I was delighted this evening to eat a delicious meal here. Everyone's food was delicious. They highlight both veg and gluten-free options for those with dietary concerns. But there is plenty of stick-to-your-ribs deliciousness on the menu. Our party of five ate:
    - Very tender beef braised in Guinness broth with veggies and mashed potatoes. So hearty and at the same time subtle, very nicely done.
    - Chicken crusted with pumpkin seeds over asian noodles and veg. Zingy without being hot/spicy, and full of flavor.
    - Excellent sandwich and waffle fries - good pumpernickel bread.
    - Perfect salad with the best grilled portabella mushroom in the universe.
    - Veg platter with a black bean patty and a melange of vegetables. Savory and satisfying.
Everything was darned good and that includes the service. We even liked the music. What a find! Happy campers.

I love the food, hands down one of the best burgers in Williamsburg, and they always have great specials to.  The only problem I have is where to find out what the specials are, and what the pool schedule is so I can actually plan a night out.

The food is fantastic.  Since we're a couple with a small child, we don't get to experience the pool hall side of the business, but every time we're in Williamsburg, this is our lunch spot of choice with their selection of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and delicious food.  The beer selection is limited, but includes some good options (or has every time I've been there).

I don't think I've ever had a better grilled cheese sandwich.  And my wife swears by their cuban.  But you really can't go wrong with anything that they have on offer.

Pleasant surprise!  Stopped by to catch a Sunday football game while we were in town.  Good food, good service, and NFL Sunday ticket what more could you ask for!?! The place wasn't crowded and despite being a pool hall it was relatively quiet.  Everyone was very friendly, definitely a locals place.

Great food on the sneak!  Definitely worth a try.  Great beer selection and even better food with fresh, not frozen, ingredients.

I love the Corner Pocket-- probably biased because we've been going there for years, but they've got great people, tasty food, good beer, and a nice patio to sit on.

I do enjoy going, despite how much I suck at pool.  The food is fantastic, and there's some sort of chocolate-y drink they make in a martini glass that's to die for.  Pool costs about $18/hour, which isn't bad when you've got a good sized group playing, but when it's just you and a friend and you play for a while (which is easy to do), it adds up REALLY FAST.  The atmosphere is nice, and they've changed the channel on the TVs several times for me to watch the Caps games.

I've also been there on nights where they've had live bands, and it gets REALLY busy...like they can't let you in due to fire code.

Every time I've been there I've had a relaxing time. The food is good, the live music is great and the billiards there makes it one of the best places New Town to bring some buds over to chill while playing a game of pool. It's one of the oldest restaurants in New Town and still one of my favorites.

Oh, Corner Pocket. I'm going to do my best to review, but let's face it; I've spent many a night there that I don't exactly remember....

Corner Pocket is always a fun time. The staff is fun, the crowd is a good mix of people, there's scattered live music, and the food is good. You must get an order of cheese fries. Piping hot and crisp waffle fries topped with house-made cheese sauce (which I've failed to replicate at home, despite knowing how they make it); and what the hell, go for the bacon. Deeee-lish. They serve your typical all-American bar food... but so much better. Most items are made in-house, not just dumped into a fryer from a frozen bag. They've got interesting sandwiches and great burgers. They also have several great entrees. I'm not going to say it's the best meal you'll ever have... but it might just become your most favorite late night munchie spot. I've been equally pleased going here as a restaurant, bar, and pool hall. And they have NFL Sunday Ticket in the fall so football fans, take note.

My girlfriend and I were down for a long weekend in Williamsburg and wanted to find a place to watch the Caps game on TV.  When we got there, all the TV's were tuned to ESPN and the NFL draft coverage...however, they were very accomodating.  They changed the TV near us to the Caps game and also turned up the volume on that game so we could hear it.

The food was above average.  I had a Soft-shell Crab Sandwich.  The crab itself was fairly small...and it had lots of lettuce and tomato on it that covered much of the taste.  MY girlfriend got a burger that was decent.  She asked for medium and it came out more on the rare-medium rare side.  That's exactly how I like it, but she was a little put off.  Burger tasted great, in any case.

Overall, I'd recommend this place.  The staff was very nice we enjoyed watching the game there.  We'd go back if we were in town agin.

Very nice staff - good pool tables - good drinks.  Very strip-mall-y.  Good enough if you're wanting a place to grab a drink when visiting town.

I went here on a Friday night for a friend's b-day celebration.  Got here past 7 and only a few tables were being played, but it got a lot busier as the night went on.  Pretty diverse group for Williamsburg, ranging from group of hot coeds to old grandpa playing solo to middle-aged couples night.  Pretty fancy looking place too.

    Service Good
Server patiently answered my excessive questions about the food and came by enough times without us feeling abandoned.  However, they put everyone's food/drink on one check (for 8 people) and it seemed to be a hassle to figure it out at the register.

    Food Good
Not the typical bar food I would have expected, and with the price tag to follow...but nothing outrageous.  I recommend the chips and dip (BIG basket enough to feed like 4 people, with housemade chips, salsa, and amazing cheese dip) and the quesadilla appetizer.  Also requested a side of ranch with my burger...and it was the most amazing ranch I've ever had.

    Layout Not So Good
No problems with the pool tables, but there's so many of them and seem a bit too close together.  I felt like I had to stick at the tables most of the nights because I felt in the way of my neigboring pool players when I was standing around near my table.

I like this place. Nice and clean. It's laid back enough to hangout and shoot some pool with a beer and nice enough to have a good meal with the in-laws.

The price was decent for the amount of food. You certainly get your fill. I have the Chesse Steak Sandwich and it was just ok. It wasn't seasoned as much as I would have like and the hoagie wasn't full of meat. Normally on a good CSS you have steak falling off the buns. Not here.

I liked the spread of beers as well. Sea Dog Blueberry Ale was great.

The staff was nice and attentive. Although she had very bad breath and liked to talk a lot.

    Just okay.

Nice upscale well kept pool hall.  Steak dinner we had was ok, not great.  Pool tables were in good condition as well as the cues.  They brag about their live music although for what ever reason on the last Saturday before Halloween there was none scheduled.

This place was way cooler in Williamsburg Crossing when it felt like a real pool hall.  The kind of place that seedy characters go.  Where you may end up with a pool stick broken over your head.

Now it's a nice summer breeze for soccer moms to meet and have cosmo's with their friends at happy hour.

Consider this a lesser version of The Green Leafe. The restaurant is divided into two sections: one section full of pool tables with a bar, and another with several booths for eating. The vibe feels kind of run-down, and the service was polite but not particularly nice or attentive. The food was delicious though; I had the crabcake burger with waffle fries and it definitely had a lot of flavor. In fact, my one complaint about the burger was that the remoulade completely overwhelmed the deliciously-sweet crabcake. I would have enjoyed my meal a lot more had it not been so overpriced; the burger was about 2 or 3$ more than other places in the area. Overall, while the food was tasty, there are other restaurants nearby with better food for cheaper prices.

I'd actually give this 4.5 stars, if I could, but it's still worthy of a top rating for one important reason: it's one of the few places in Williamsburg that's upscale, but not a chain.

The Corner Pocket is situated near a nice new shopping center and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place (upscale restaurant / sports bar / pool hall), and the food was remarkably ambitious fare. My wife went with the Guinness Braised Beef and loved it. I tried the Mixed Vegetarian dish (a combination of leeks, onion straws, a portabello mushroom and two slices of sweet potato, all in a red pepper BBQ sauce) and was less impressed; while the dish was good, I found the taste of the sweet potatoes overpowering. My recommendation is to replace them with Yukon Golds -- that would make the dish divine.

I did enjoy the Grilled Pound Cake dessert, however, and though it was slightly expensive at $6, it was more than enough for my wife and I to share.

If we were in Williamsburg again, we'd definitely go back and try a different dish. (Vegetarians, take note-- the staff will gladly let you sub out your meat for black bean cake, something I wish I'd done with a different entree). This is not a place I'd take children, but it is a nice indoor/outdoor place for adults who want a dinner that's different from the chain fare.

Don't go out of your way to eat here if you're vegetarian--you'll probably end up eating the same rather uninspired frittata that I went with.

A perfectly nice place to sit outdoors and have a beer, though, and the service is friendly. Will probably be back for those reasons.

I actually liked the old bar menu a bit better, but the new "upscale" menu is okay.  They got rid of my favorite dish the meatloaf sandwich.  They do have a really great nachos.  Fresh corn and the cheese mix is amazing.  I've had a mediocre tuna sashimi type salad.  I also recommend the onion rings.  At night it is packed and one of the few decent spots to hang out in the "burg"

There is something to be said about a place where you can still get a perfectly prepared burger and fresh fries at eleven thirty at night. It says even more, when that burger might be the best one you can get in Williamsburg.

Although it is a pool hall, I didn't have the chance to play a table, but there seem to be enough tables to ensure that a wait will not be too long.

One of the few places in town that's usually busy but the servers don't act stuck up. It seems like most hangouts in Williamsburg have employees that act holier than thou... I think it's because there are so few places!!!
Either way go there: good drinks, great food, awesome prices, and sometimes even live music! (Thurs?)

I have eaten here several times with friends, and I've got to say I'm very happy with the food and the service.  Big Kudos -- Hats off to them serving a real dinner menu (not fried cheese and nachos -- real food) until closing on a Sunday (if you can believe it -- totally made my night after flying in late) in Williamsburg (of all places)!!!  Love the burgers, great beer selection.  Only comment -- they can try to take it up a notch on some of the other items (for example, Jambalaya *should* be spicy -- don't be afraid that someone will send it back) but hey I can't blame them; this is the complaint capital of Hampton Roads.

Though I miss its old location, I have to admit that this place is pretty well-designed to function as a bar, a restaurant, and a pool hall. I've even been to a couple of private bar/bat mitzvahs held here that came off quite nicely. The food is good, a solid notch above what you'd expect from a place like this - and they're able to achieve both the bar munchie and the business lunch with success. The pool tables are spaced far enough apart that you're not self-conscious about getting in people's way, and there are enough of them that you probably won't have to wait too long. It's also not too loud to have a conversation in there, so it seems to me that this place would appeal to pretty much anyone.
