I keep trying this place and I am always disappointed.  The food is mediocre to be nice.
My husband asked me to give him one positve thing about this restaurant and I wanted to say the patio, but they allow smoking and we couldn't even sit out there without inhaling the cancer sticks. Our fries were not fresh, the food seemed warmed up from Sams Club. The echo in the room was so bad we could hear everyone else talking, but no one at our table. It makes me sad, because I long for Mom and Pop businesses. I prefer them. But, we all pinky promised we would not try this place again. I am sorry, not trying to be rude, but this place needs an overhaul.

Strange wait staff, but they are attentive and chatty. Beers are so-so. The food is so over-priced it's kind of highway robbery.

However, there are not many choices in Corrales, so if you want to sit outside, or listen to local bands jamming averagely with just-under-average food, this is an option.

Okay for a green chile cheeseburger and a beer but if you are in a hurry, this isn't the place - the service is extremely slow - even when there's just a few people in the place.

Being that this is one of the few bars/restaurants in Corrales, there is not much competition to compare but I love supporting local businesses and this is a great little spot.

Located at the north end of Corrales, the bistro is the perfect place to grab a local brew or a glass of wine and sit on the patio. Dogs are welcome, and horses too (you know you're in Corrales, when there is "horse parking", at every business)! The food is OK, nothing too spectacular, BUT they do have a great breakfast that nobody seems to know about--you can even get a breakfast beer :)

If you come on a weekend, you can expect live music and a packed house. When it's open, I choose to sit on the patio because you can still hear the music and it isn't as noisy. I have to say the acoustics inside are horrible. It is very echo-y and hard to hear conversation with all the chatter.

The menu consists of a good variety of food, from vegetarian to burgers, to New Mexican. The service is not always great when they're busy, but servers are usually always friendly.

We come here quite often and enjoy it :) Support local!

We visit Corrales Bistro every few months.  I finally decided to write a review of our latest trip this past weekend.
I love the fact that the beers they serve are all local and from different breweries.  It means I can try something from Marble and the hubby can get something from Turtle Mountain.
Besides the beers, the food is very good.  You can't go wrong with the green chile cheese fries as an app!  Be careful, their chile is almost always on the hot side.   The buffalo burger is great and you must add the blu cheese crumbles.

The service is usually hit or miss, but this time is was pretty good.  The server actually checked with my husband and I before she refilled our daughters soda.  That helped over look the fact she was a bit slow.

I recently took my wife and daughter to lunch at CBB on Valentine's Day.  At first I didn't know what to think of the place.  There was a group of elderly locals having lunch together, but other than that, the place was empty.  The place is pretty homey and there's an old beat-up couch near the entrance.

Our server greeted us and was really friendly.  We started with a roasted red pepper hummus plate and it was pretty good.  It tasted really fresh and wasn't oily like hummus can be sometimes.

My baby daughter seemed to love the potato soup, which had lots of flavor.  I had a green chile burger and my wife also had a burger.  Both were really filling, juicy, and maybe a little heavy on the seasoning.  We both had a mix of sweet potato fries and french fries, which were also pretty good.

One thing that confused me is the name of the place.  It doesn't seem that they actually brew their own beer, although they have 16 local beers on tap.  They had a nice selection (Marble, Turtle Mountain, La Cumbre, etc.), but the "Brewery" part of the restaurant's name is a little misleading.

We don't go to Corrales often, but had a great meal and look forward to visiting again.

I really like this place.  It's fun and weird and homey and unique and a nice place to hang out for an hour or so.

We have only been here twice - it's on the other side of town from us, so we can't just drop by whenever.  But we went about a year ago and really loved it, and we also went this year at the Harvest Festival, and both times we just loved it.

The staff are really nice, and always happy to answer questions. The food is outstanding. Lots of healthy and hearty choices. Feta everywhere!  Yum!

They have a spectacular local beer selection. Nothing of their own, but a really lovely variety of local breweries' selections. You can sit at the bar and do a free tasting, which is truly amazing - the staff are really knowledgeable and we had a fabulous extended conversation about all the beers, and beers from around the country, with the owner.

I absolutely and very strongly recommend this place - truly awesome!

I've been here a few times, and had a slightly different experience each time.

The first time was a Monday holiday- Labor Day or President's Day or something. We had a few beers, played some shuffleboard and had a blast.
The second time was yet another day off, a Tuesday perhaps. We expected it to be dead but the entire patio was filled with people who had just come from a funeral at the church next door. Kind of a somber crowd (obviously) but we had a great lunch- the fries are great.
The next time was a weekend afternoon and it was an absolute blast! We sat at the bar with some regulars and had a great time with the bartender. The have awesome parmesan garlic wings.
The last time was the only time that didn't warrant five stars- it was a Sunday evening and was completely dead. There was a two piece band playing that wasn't that great, and we were literally the only people in the place. It was just....weird.

Overall 4/5 and we will definitely be back.

I grew up surrounded by Corrales' charm and yummy local restaurants, but now that I live here as an adult, I can partake in the grownup side of life, such as fine dining at the Indigo Crow and, of course, enjoying a cold beer at the Corrales Bistro and Brewery! I am so lucky to live within walking distance of this local hotspot. They don't brew their own beer but carry a mouthwatering selection of the best New Mexico selection. I don't always have time to get to Marble, Chama, or Turtle Mountain so the brewery is a treat! They have an awesome patio with a beautiful view of the mountains and a couple times a week you can usually catch live music! The food is OK but is always secondary to my beer choice anyways. That said, you can't go wrong with the green chili cheese fries or any of the wraps--the sweet potato fries are delicious! Staff is always pleasant but not always available. The TVs inside are distracting and the atmosphere in there in general isn't as comforting as the outdoor patio in the lovely weather of the summer and fall. All in all, a nice place to meet with some friends for a drink or two after work!

A general Albuquerque area comment before I stride into The Bistro.

New Mexico is hiding some Good Stuff folks.  In Albuquerque, this blend of Indigenous/Spaniard/Mexican/Anglo is producing a Rhapsody in Red, Yellow and Green.  The only thing I've eaten the last two days dining out is burgers.  And we've had some great ones.

If you want a great lunch, like mine this afternoon, get the buffalo burger.   With hand cut sweet and regular skin-on potato fries.

Dee-lish.  Bill recommended red chiles for the burger.  I was not disappointed.  Firm, sweet, underpinned with heat, laid over the sweet lean, large buffalo burger (well done, Pueblo Style) , piled with romaine, tomatoes and white onion, the bun slathered with the whole-seed mustard that came in a side cup.

A New Mexico rhapsody in red, yellow and green.  With excellent Corrales water, patio seating on a Nw Mexico fall afternoon.

I'm in on that again.  Thanks Bill.

My husband and I splurge once in a blue moon; eating animal protein....and when we do, we go for the juiciest tastiest green chili hamburger at the Bistro in Corrales.  Served with both sweet potato and white fries....plan to share; the burger is the size of two. The atmosphere is casual and friendly but loud as it's usualy crowded ~; seating inside or outside - live band on Friday nights.

I'll go with the 5 stars!  Eclectic crowd, delicious burger and great beer!  I'm only in town for a week and I want to go again!

All I can say is WOW! Well, not really, since CBB deserves a review slightly more in depth than WOW.

12 microbrews on tap, all from local brewing companies/brewpubs ie: Turtle Mountain, La Cumbre, Santa Fe, and Marble. Nice range of taps, from a porter to a pilsner and everything in between. Anyone and everyone should be happy with the beer- if not, head south and check out the Sandia Bar... they should have a ice cold Budweiser waiting for you.

Cheers: I love Love LOVe LOVE CBB for breakfast... the papas are absolutely amazing! The green chile has the right balance of heat and flavor, its more of a green chile sauce with chunks of onion, tomatoes, and garden goodness. The pancakes are out of this world... blows Wecks pancakes out of the water. Try the banana pancakes! Coffee is the real deal, dark and bold. Lets talk about the healthy options: over 1/2 of the menu is "heart healthy" or vegetarian :)

Jeers: The place always looks kindof of tore up from the night before, but I get the feeling that it always looks that way. The place needs a top to bottom scrubbing. While I appreciate the laid back New Mexican vibe, a dirty bathroom is the farthest thing from laid back. Its just plain old dirty. The outdoor patio COULD be one of the best patios in the 505.

We stay away from animal protein - however my husband was NEEDING a green chili bigger fix - oh my - delicious - yes I ate half - we did have salads so it was not a total mess up -  the beer - just what was needed on a hot Corrales day - I ordered the sampler - BIG yum and BIGGER surprise when 12 1.5 oz beers arrived in lil plastic cups - casual colorful carefree culinary Corrales casita!
A must is visiting the always open 24-7 pottery gallery next door:).

I really, really want to give this place four stars, and maybe if I'd only gone for breakfast or brunch I'd be able to.  They do really good breakfast dishes and the place really lends itself to a nice, laid back morning start.  The beers are all quite good (and local) and they don't look at you funny for ordering one early in the morning.  (I work nights, it's not unusual for me to have a beer not long after dawn.)

Lunch and dinner, however, have proven a little disappointing, especially knowing how good it can be.  There's nothing wrong with the food and it is all very fresh, it's just nothing special.

One time I brought a large group (a dozen or so people) and had even called ahead to give them fair warning, but it still seemed like we overwhelmed them.  Not sure what was up with that.

The patio is very nice (you can bring your dog!) and staff is super friendly.  They are laid back all the way around, though, so don't go if you're in a hurry.  Attentive, yes.  Speedy?  Not so much.

In short, go for breakfast/brunch or for beers later out on the patio.  There are better places for a later meal.

BTW -- the beers are all local, but not brewed in-house.  The initials next to the names of the beers on the board indicate the brewery.  (M = Marble, TRMC = Turtle Mountain Brewing Company, etc)

This place has not an ounce of snootiness in it!  Live music, great food, great beers, really friendly staff!  Love it!

We tried this restaurant after reading prior reviews on Yelp, and we were not disappointed. We have been back a few times since and have had the hamburger, soup, hot wings, dessert and sandwiches and each were super delicious. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh, and the salads are not the bag salads that you get at larger restaurants -YUM!! Each time we have gone they have had some great music playing, but one of those times we had to sit outside because it was way too loud for our little one. They do have an outdoor patio, but people congregate to smoke out there so beware. The staff is super friendly and really take care of you.

This is a terrific place in a very nice town. I went for lunch and it was perfectly lovely .The place was calm and relaxing .The food was excellent. We had jalapeno poppers that were the best of this type of fried chilies I've ever had .I enjoyed the green chili stew and the beer. The  main course of , of all things , taco salad was delicious .The chef is imaginative and makes good use of local ingredients. We also had a very nice waiter , good espresso  and desert. It was a fun place to sit around and eat and drink. This is a kind of Platonic ideal of the brew pub.Finding Corrales  persuaded me that I might actually like the Albuquerque area.

Their new chef has stepped the food quality level up two notches.  The beautiful view of the Sandia mountain range and the excellent selection of micro-brews are good reasons to go there.  Being a vegetarian doesn't leave me excluded here because of the normal crummy choices restaurants leave for us.  They have wraps and sandwiches that are excellent, a rustic bread dipper and garlic plate with bleu cheese and olivante oils that I've never seen elsewhere and bleu-cheese enchiladas, too.  I go for the Red Rye beer from a local brewery.  It's highly potent and has a bit of a spicy taste.

They consistently have live music - piano and small groups.  We tried to get in tonight but there wasn't any parking and the sign indicated there was a band playing that evidently has a following.

Bring your dog if you want to sit on the patio.  It's kind of a custom.  They are good about water for them.

This local brewery is filled with very friendly bartenders and servers. I tried a Belgian Trippel, the sangria and a Pilsner -- from what I could tell they were all brewed in-house but it wasn't exactly clear. I didn't order any food, but I did try this chocolate dessert that somebody else had ordered and I'm kinda needing to wipe the drool from my mouth right now just thinking about that chocolatey piece of heaven.

They had live music outside, the band was super friendly and encouraged lots of audience participation.

The bartenders were also very helpful in guiding your beer choices and they give you samples before you make a choice.

Best of all -- for locally brewed draft beer I thought the price was pretty good -- only $3.75 for a pint.
