Integrity, none. I wouldn't step foot in there because when it comes down to it, they could care less about you as much as they care about the almighty dollar in their pocket. Trashy food, cut corners, over priced, Â going down. Â So many other good places to go where people are actually good decent people. not ripoffs. Go to players where the local people have a proven reputation of being good neighborhood people, not just greedy guts wanting in your pockets.
Review Source:No complaints! A HUGE upgrade from Fire Escape. One of my old coworkers bartends here, and she is amazing and friendly. Â The drink selection is great, the place is clean and modern, and the prices are fair. I stop in here once a month or so, but would like to come back and check out their Taco Tuesday and theme night Thursdays. Seems as if everyone loves this place!
Review Source:This place is a lot of fun. Â We've had breakfast, lunch and a light dinner here. Â The food is fresh and delicious. Â The cocktails are very well made and inexpensive. Â My very favorite martini is made right here. Â The insides have been completely renovated and are very nice. Â As it's name implies, there are couches tucked in everywhere - making it super comfortable. Â Huge flat screens grace nearly every wall for the games. Â There's an outdoor patio for smoking. Â The people are typical of the neighborhood. Â Nice crowd. Â Definitely not a dive bar. Â Unpretentious and comfortable. Â A neighborhood favorite! Â Well done.
Review Source:Just started going to the couch in the last few weeks. Every time I stop in the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. The staff members from the chefs to the bartenders are accommodating and attentive. The food is really good and I will definitely be giving this establishment my continued business and recommendations.
Review Source:I have nothing negative to say about this establishment. Â First impression walking in was "it's beautiful it's going to be pricey" Â Never judge a book by it's cover. Â It's not pricey at all, as matter of fact their prices are cheaper then some dive bars I've been to. Â Goes to show that you can be a dive bar with dive bar prices and not be a complete dump. Â The Couch is classy, spacious, and very clean with a lovely staff. Â I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef, the owner, and a young lady who was tending bar all of them were very attentive and genuine. Â There is outside seating that's gated and spacious. Â Their food is great and is not over priced and they have good happy hour specials and drink and food specials. Â If you're looking for somewhere to go that is not over priced with great customer service and is big enough to have a private conversation or be with a group I recommend The Couch. Â Definitely check this place out. Â Oh yes and there is a pool table, 2 dart boards, like 7 flat screen TV's, and some kind of arcade game. Â Go check it out and when you check in on YELP you get a free pint of beer.
Review Source:10 TV's, 7 on one game with 2 big projections. Bias atmosphere for an establishment that offers Sunday Ticket and all the games. No sound on my tv, or captioning, no HD and a small screen, placed in a far corner. Their logic for returning patrons makes no sense if you're not the in crowd (Niners or Raiders fans). Hope they get a clue soon. I'll never go back to check.
Review Source:This is a sports bar????? We went to watch the Sunday night 49ers game #1 they didn't have the sound on any of the TVS. Â #2 The place was maybe 1/3 filled but everyone in there was feeding money into the jutebox and dancing to the blaring music, it appeared that everyone in the place were friends of the bar tender or waitress. Â #3 We asked for the sound for the game but they said they were trying this letting people feed the jutebox. Â If I go to a sports bar to watch a game I want to watch and hear the game!!! I hope they can make it just catering to their friends because I will not be back there to watch a game. Â If they want to be a dance hall then maybe should re-name the place to The Couch Dance hall.
Review Source:Having been to the Fire Escape a couple of times before, it's sort of hard to believe this is the same space. However, it is, and it turned out to be a pretty good lunch stop! Â We enjoyed the French dip and the tacos, although the feta cheese in the tacos was a bit odd - not bad, but really not what one normally expects in a pork taco! Â We'll order them without the cheese next time, since they were delicious otherwise. They also make an excellent Bloody Mary! The staff were also very cool, so this is a repeatable place for sure!
Review Source:A classy sports bar. Â
Large windows allow expansive rays of light into the place.  The interior has clean lines décor-wise - an open feeling, and I love the bar stools with backs on them (I'll stay longer if I'm comfortable). Â
I asked the bartender about the beautifully colored painting on the wall at the end of the bar, and she told me one of the customers painted it for them. Â Nice. Â Far corner offers a quasi-sectioned off section for private parties.
Happy Hour every single day of the week. Â Got to love that. Â And, it ends at 7:00, not the ridiculous time of 6:00, so popular with many bars.
Karaoke Wednesday nights, and they've started a "theme" night once-a-month.
I love cream of mushroom soup generally, but theirs is fabulous; freshly grated parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. Â Damn good. Fish and chips - standard fare. Â
The dishware adds a level of class - solid white, square bowls and dishes. Enjoyable presentation. Â Even the graphic design of the menu is simple, and cleanly designed.
Because it is a sports bar, there are the requisite TVs, electronic dart boards, pool table, and jukebox.
I'll be back to check out their Taco Tuesdays.
Not only does The Couch have the perfect atmosphere for a night of drinking dancing, and singing, the food is incredible.
My son and I had lunch and a couple games of darts there this afternoon. He did the Cheeseburger that looked fresh and huge. I did the pulled pork sandwich.
You are missing out if you do not jump into their pulled pork sandwich!
This place is locally owned by an awesome couple, who have created a place that will make you want to sit and stay awhile. Catch a game, have a meal, or join their Wednesday night Karaoke jam.
The staff are warm, and fun. You will feel like a regular after your first visit.
I've been to lots of karaoke shows and I've never seen a show like Wednesday nights with DJ Rick! It's not corny like so many shows usually are - in fact it's cool as hell!!! Professional set up. Club lights. Great sound. Fun and engaging DJ. Real dancing and mixes in between performances. They even rocked it on Good Day Sacramento at 5 am!
Review Source:A GREAT!!!! Place to go to have a good time. I am not normally a karaoke fan but the host/DJ made it entirely too much fun! Rick was great, interactive, professional and he got ME....yes ME!!! To sing karaoke! We will DEFINITELY be making the hour + drive again very soon on a Wednesday to have fun again! This place is a MUST GO!
Review Source:The service and ambiance was amazing. They have a really cool bar and a great juke box, but the wings need a lot of improvement. My wings where way over cooked, topped with what appeared to be cheap hot sauce with margarine....The wings looked better than they tasted...I would visit again, but not for the wings:(
Review Source:ELEVATE will be having their Birthday BASH here Thursday, March 15, 2012! Â
Starting at 5:30pm
If you haven't already...you gotta check this place out! Â What's not to like about FOOD and DRINK in a laid-back atmosphere.
ELEVATE is raffling off a two night stay for two at The Cobblestone Inn in CARMEL! Â
As if a trip wasn't enough to create a buzz, ELEVATE also has some signature cocktails created by The Couch especially for the event.
Visited the Couch for the first time last night on the way to the Crest to see Tommy Emmanuel. My friends and I needed good food and fast!  The Couch's semi casual atmosphere housed a friendly local crowd. We ordered the Chicken and Beef Taco's and some awesome Couch Potatoes Fries (sweet potatoes with cool toppings!) Everyone at my table agreed the tacos were delisous and they had  just the right amount of spiciness added to them. The service was truly excellent. We were greeted, seated, served and checked on by a server with personality. He was well versed with the menu and asked, but didn't push extra drinks and such. The owner of the place came by to say hello and introduced himself. I noticed him sitting at a table with customers too. It was great to see! Oh no, I almost I forgot to mention the freshly made hot out of the oven Couch Fries we're oh so good! The bill for 4 dinners and drinks kinda shocked us. It was much less then we anticipated!
I highly recommend you check out this great locally owned sports bar and lounge called The Couch!
Great place with good service all the time! I really enjoy the place. The owner even came to greet my friends and I. Good drinks and food. Nice staff. Lots of couches, cool bar, many flat-screens, large outside patio and pool table. AWESOME Happy Hour by the way. I will certainly return!
Review Source:I finally got to sample some of their food during the taping of Good Day Sacramento. They did a piece on The Couch which is scheduled to air this Sunday, February 5th. I had their Omelet 'The Works'. They usually only serve breakfast on Sunday mornings but they took care of me for this special event. The food is excellent and if you like Bloody Mary's, this is the place to have one....or two! Ask for it "Alisha-style". I'm not sure what they do different but she's one of their servers and it's SO good!
Review Source:So far so good..they need to get their hours of business straight on YELP..but that's a Small thing..a HUGE improvement over the last place there., thinking Fireside Lounge..they have a decent menu for a sports bar, everything is made there, not just tossed into the grease and fried..the mrs had the chicken tacos...very good with some fat chicken, not all covered in garbage..we just had the standard drinks..but the prices were fair. Â
They have several private areas with Couches (get it) that can be reserved for you and your friends to chillax and watch a game, drink, eat and get trashed. Â We spoke with Justin, the owner, and he seemed all about customer service - besides he rides a Harley so he is good in my book.
We will make this a regular stop on our normal rounds.
