This place is a decent little coffee shop.  I've seen people order food there, but never have personally.  The tea is always hot (or cold, I guess, depending what you ask for) and the staff has always been friendly to me.  The pastries are just ok, I'm pretty certain they just bake pre-made, frozen stuff from Otis Spunkmeyer and the like.

But hey, if you need a clean bathroom and a decent cup of coffee or tea this place can do that,  and it's usually accompanied by a smile.

I would agree that this place is more of a coffee shop. It is a nice coffee shop, however.  I ordered drip coffee with a cookie or two.  The coffee was very good.  I'm not sure if the cookies are baked in house or not, but they tasted good.  There is a large dining area with modern decorations and comfortable chairs.  While I cannot comment on the bistro food, I will say it is an excellent place to visit if you are looking for a coffee shop to sit and read or study.

Honestly, you need to think of this place as a coffee shop (not a bistro). It's just not really a cafe and you'll be super disappointed if you think that's where you're going. They do have a pretty big menu for a coffee shop, and the food I've had is fresh and hot and custom enough to know there's a kitchen back there, but it's more cafeteria-style ... solid food, pretty good, nothing super unique about it. The baked items are actually pretty disappointing (scones, muffins, and cookies that have to be mass-produced offsite, there isn't really a way to make fresh-baked items so ultra dull). Standouts: Ham and Cheese Croissants and the clam chowder - both are yummy. Also excellent: The coffee drinks! Stumptown beans are the very best, so that helps a lot. The staff are very friendly and attentive, seem to enjoy working together, and make good drinks. We'll drive to Coupeville on a Saturday morning just for the coffee (and ham and cheese croissant).
