Love it!!!! Â Finally this area gets a quality place with quality food and staff. Our waitress Nathalie provided us with nothing but excellence. We had the fillet that was wonderful. I have not ever been served a steak and not been provided with a steak knife to cut with. All I needed was the butter knife. The sides were perfect as well. Seasonings also excellent. French onion soup and salads are yummy. Very good place with reasonable prices.
Review Source:Great food! But.....if you are not keeping up with them on Facebook you may find they are closed at any time for private parties during the week. Cal first to see if they are closed or not. Not sure how a restaurant can support being open to the public.......when it is convenient for them.
Review Source:A group of 18 ladies including myself visited the Cozy Grape for lunch last weekend and we are ALL fans! Â I had the buffalo burger with mushrooms & cheese- it was one of the best, if not THE best burger I've ever had. Â It was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was a little sweet & delish- tasted like home baked. Â So yum. Â Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their food as well, and the atmosphere was nice. Â Many of the ladies really loved the Petroni Chardonnay with their lunches. Â I look forward to returning to the Grape as soon as possible!
Review Source:This cozy (see what I did there) little spot nestled in the "cool, little town" (overheard whilst dining at said cozy little spot) that is Montgomery, TEXAS, is a delight. Â We (my chick and I) stumbled upon this place during an antiquing marathon on Easter's eve.
The chick and I shared an appetizer (of sorts) with the Buffalo and Turkey Sliders. Â Unfortunately, they had run out of arrows and could not bring a buffalo to the table; they brought burger and turkey sliders for a couple of bucks less. Â It was tasty enough that I want to go back for some buffalo.
The beer menu is tremendous. Â No cheerleader beer here so frat boys need not attend. Â Devil's Backbone, Spaten and H-Town's own St. Arnold's Lawnmower are available, to name a few...a few of my favourites!! Â
We plan to peek at the vino the next time we're about. Â Looking forward to impromptu date night since we live in this "cool, little town".
Have some.
In love!
Quaint, cozy, local, and fresh all describe the Cozy Grape
We ordered the:
Salmon-grilled perfectly and juicy. Major plus since most of the time its cooked too long
Trout-yummy along side the roasted potatoes
Penne prima Vera- huge serving that was paird with large grilled shrimp
Their spinach salad and goat cheese salad was awesome. They are large so share if you can.
The moscato was crisp and refreshing
I can't wait to go back again
Hubby and I went here a couple of weeks ago after I read the reviews. Â We had dinner plans for 8:30 later that evening, and I Â thought we'd try it since neither of us had eaten lunch.
We got there about 4:30 and were the only customers. Â We were greated warmly, seated and given menus.
After looking at the menu, I thought my husband was going to walk out! Â No chicken fried steak sandwich? Â No greasy French fries? Â Not a beef enchilada in sight, and WTH is haricot vert? Â Pfft!
I explained to him this is not that kind of place, haricot vert is french for green bean and after all we were just here for a "tie us over bite", not a 5 course meal.
After the initial shock of the realization that I had lured him into a "foo foo" food place, he agreed to at least try something. Â
Not wanting to press my luck, I talked him into trying the sliders appetizer, 2 buffalo and 2 turkey. Â They were delicious and actually very filling. Â He had to admit he enjoyed the buffalo, although he wasn't crazy about the turkey. Â No surprise there. Â I loved them both.
The server was excellent, the water was poured from a glass carafe table side. Â I do not know if it was simply bottled water or avian. Â I can tell you it was not chlorinated municipal water.
If you or your husband is a steak and baked/fried kinda person, this place is not for you. Â If you like to try different things instead of the run of the mill, this is definitely worth trying. Â I can't wait to take my daughter here and try some of the things I saw on the menu.
Amazing addition to Montgomery, Tx. Â The owner was gracious to host our group on a day that they are normally closed and the food, wine and service was awesome!!!! Â We just love this place and the patio is very nice. Â Will definetly be back on many occasions!!!!! Â Order the fish tacos!!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!!
Review Source:Word is apparently spreading fast about this terrific spot in Montgomery. Â On a busy Friday evening, it's good we arrived early or we would have been out of luck. Â Make a reservation if you're going on a weekend. Â All four at our table had something different and each of us was raving. Â The place has only been open since May and the servers definitely have their jobs down pat. Â They lavished us with attention and only one server drew a blank on a question regarding how a dish was prepared. Â The menu is an eclectic one and the chef/s definitely know what they're doing. Â Even the sides are special. Â The cheese tray we ordered for the table was a little spare for four but would be a perfect appetizer for two (delicious goat cheese!) Â We would have preferred the baguette be served in rounds rather then the larger planks; that would also improve the presentation and allow for more room on the small bistro-style tables.
Surprisingly, there is no bar or even a waiting area. Â Maybe the owners will consider this addition as their reputation continues to grow quickly. Â We didn't see the back patio area (too hot!) but it may be perfect for dining when temps are cooler. Â
There is definitely room for improvement regarding the acoustics.  This place is really loud.  In spite of the lovely, cozy decor....there has been little attention given to dampening the sound, forcing everyone  to use their outside voices.  Owners should consider linen tablecloths and napkins (serving the dual purpose of adding to the ambiance), drapes, rugs, even ceiling treatments.
We'll be back. Â Maybe for lunch when it's a bit quieter or early afternoon for a bottle of wine (great list) Â and cheese tray!
Amazing! Â Excellent service. Excellent selection of wine and beer. Excellent service and peaceful atmosphere. The salmon was delectable and so were the chicken enchiladas. Â I asked if they had a special beer and suggested they add it to their menu. They quickly brought out a comment card to pass along to the owner. They also mentioned that even if it was off the menu just let them know the next time I was coming in and they would have it for me. Now that is service with a smile! Â Loved it!
Review Source:Look. I've never really missed Montgomery, TX til this restaurant moved into town. Where'd you come from, Napa? no..wait, small town in Burgundy, France, or further in Aix en Provence? Stunned by the food, I've got to get a grip on not having to order "stuff on the side" cuz the food is garden-fresh, healthy, California Cuisine  to the TEXAS steak n' saucy spice. Choices make the entire table happy. Yum. Should we pay your water bill? I LOVE how the water is served. You're so awesome. See you again cuz your prices are great. Thank you. Welcome to the hood.
Review Source:Downtown Montgomery's newest and best restaurant, right across the street from the Tasting Room at Retreat Hills Winery. Â The food is as as good as it gets anywhere in Montgomery. Â The new owners just opened the first week in July and we have eaten here three times now. Â The Green Chilli enchiladas are the best I have had ANYWHERE and my wife always gets the Fish Tacos or grilled Salmon Salad. Â The menu is a bit upscale for Montgomery, but the prices sure don't reflect it. Â A heaping plate of gourmet green chilli enchiladas, rice and beans is just $10. Â The wine list is better than average and the ambiance is very nice. Â There is patio seating out back and a comfortable dining room up front. Â Ask for Tom...he's the owner. Â You will see him making rounds being sure he meets every guest while he ensures everything is to their liking. Â Don't miss this hidden gem in Downtown Montgomery...near the corner of 149 and Hwy 105. Â You won't be disappointed!
Review Source:Quiet, cozy, and relaxing! Not what you would expect when you hear wine bar as there isn't actually a "bar" to sit at. Â The food was great, had the black bean tostados with ground buffalo meat and they were delicious! Â Definitely going back to try some of the other menu items. Â Did I forget to mention that the wine was fantastic? Â From a family that owns a hugely successful restaurant in The Woodlands, I was very impressed!
