Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Good mac-n-cheese & their Ruben sandwich is pretty darn great! And their biscuits are also good.

We were seated promptly and our waitress was super friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food (we were HUNGRY!).

Prices are decent. For a chain restaurant, it's a pretty good place overall.

I seemed to come across these when I'm not in California.  The experience was fine, as my timing for a meal placed constraints on my choices and desire to support local businesses while on business travel.  I had the chicken and dumplings.  The quality had a large chain appeal.

I did find the entrance a bit tricky to find from the freeway exit; so be on the lookout if this is your fancy.  At least, I found it tricky to find since I wasn't familiar with the area.

Having got into town about 11, I decided to have lunch at Cracker Barrel.  I was promptly seated and my server was there quickly.

I ordered the chicken fried chicken with macaroni & cheese, applesauce, and CB's famous hash brown casserole.  Order was there with minimal wait.  Ample portions of everything.

Server was attentive and polite.  Very positive experience.
