Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Exactly what you'd expect from Cracker Barrel... good comfort food at a good price.  For anyone who hasn't been to Cracker Barrel, if you like traditional "grandma's" cooking, this is it.  Meat Loaf, Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, etc.  I had a burger this time and it was excellent!  Service is always good as well (I've been to Cracker Barrels all over the country and the service is consistently good).  Again, a good value so give it a try!

Shrimp and Grits has gone mid-America. What's next...filet at McDonald's. This version costs $6.99. That should tell you how it was. What was I thinking???

This place is fun to go to.  You can peruse the neat items for sale. At Christmas time they have lots of really cool ornaments and gifts.  Plus they wrap the gifts for you. Some remind you of years gone by, some smell really good, and some are quite tasty.

My favorite spot to sit is by the fireplace (not beside the screaming child, this went on for 30 minutes).  

They have biscuits and gravy, or cornbread and beans, or even chicken and dumplings which is what I had.  Reminds me of growing up on the farm.  If you want to experience a taste of farmlife, check it out.
