I eat there often in the mornings, and when family and friends come to town, we enjoy a luncheon or a dinner at this location. The service is quick; the servers are friendly and get your orders correct, indicating that communications between the servers and chefs are well coordinated.
The takeout meals are well packaged. It is a pleasure to expect on a great home cooked meal without cooking it yourself.
I've been at CB before just checking out the store but had never eaten there before until today.
I didn't know what to expect. Seating was prompt and so was service. We were able to decide what we wanted pretty quickly which I'm sure made our server happy. I ordered a cheeseburger while my husband ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon. Â I ordered my cheeseburger medium but I received it well done. It wasn't that big of a deal to me so I didn't complain. But it was delicious. The bacon slices were thick, the pickles were a little bit sweet, and the fries were your no-frills steak fries. I don't like coleslaw so I didn't taste it. My husband loved his pancakes because they were made right. Unlike IHOP where a blueberry pancake is just a buttermilk pancake with blueberry sauce on top these pancakes were cooked with the blueberries in them. Just like they should be. And the syrup was maple syrup. Maple syrup! Very cool!
The sweet tea we had to drink is honestly some of the best, if not the best, sweet tea we've ever had. It's what sweet tea should taste like. Absolutely delicious!
Since I hadn't been to a CB before I was a little thrown off when we had pretty much just started eating our check was placed at our table. Just like they do at Denny's. I really hate when restaurants do that. It almost makes you feel rushed. Another interesting thing was that you pay your bill at the cash register instead of the waiter. So I definitely categorize CB between a Denny's diner type restaurant and a traditional restaurant.
The food and the quick service was great so I'm sure we'll be back!
