Crooked Creek Saloon is my favorite place to eat. The food is awesome. The prices are great. I cannot say enough good things. It is not fancy, it is a restaurant attached to a bar, but it is the best. Don't expect a high class restaurant - it is very down to earth. But you must eat here!
Review Source:We had a party of 6 and called ahead to make sure they could accommodate our party, they had a table ready for us when we got there. Â The food was good, the soup and salad bar was good BUT the desserts were great! Â We had the cheesecake and lemon bars, so good we took 2 to go. Â The beer was reasonably priced. Â The service was prompt and friendly. Â I'd go back, maybe for the Sunday brunch, it sounded good.
Review Source:We happened upon this place by chance. The night we wet in was prime rib special night. The food was excellent, the service was great and we ended up back there the next morning for their first Sunday of the month Sunday brunch. Yet again the food was amazing and the service great. The manager if the place is the resident desert maker and if you happen to be in on a night when she has made her Black Forest cake - you are in for a very tasty treat. The owner spoke with us on both visits and was wonderful to get to know. We have decided to come back up here fro Denver again for their Sunday brunch!
Review Source:Hard to figure this place out. Â Some days good, some bad. Â The food is always above average, but service is sometimes terrible. Â This place has the best buffalo wings in the Fraser Valley, and decent pasta meals. Â Service at night has not been a problem, but breakfast and lunch service is horrible.
Review Source:I'd almost give it 2 stars because the bar is fun, but I can't bring myself to do it. Â The food, well, is just bad. Â My sister and I ordered rib eyes, and didn't finish them because they were just thin and tasteless. Â One friend ordered a vegetarian sandwich and said it was disgusting. Â And to top it off, this was the most expensive meal for 4 people I've had since I moved to colorado.
Review Source:Just returned from WP and have to rate this place a huge thumbs up.....great food, homemade soups, yum!! The Mac and Cheese is out of this world and the portion could feed 4......great owners, great service, and even better food!!! Â
PS- If you're a Buffalo fan, you've got to get that burger!!!!!
Headed up to Winter Park CO for some skiing? Â Then a la Scott says for great music, beer, food and an all around good time, head to the Crooked Creek Saloon. Â
Just outside of Winter Park, in Fraser, Â it offers a good feel that a small ski town saloon should, along with a family friendly restaurant that offers great comfort food.
The rack of ribs is always a hit. The steaks like the strip are also basically a no miss. Â
There's always a full and ready salad bar with a nice variety of greens. Â Add a beer from some good varieties either with or after dinner. Â Oh and if the kids are not in tow on Friday or Saturday night, stick around for some awesome live bands. Â Dance if you want. Â The locals do!
A la Scott has been here on a few visits now and it never disappoints. Â It's small town with a huge heart and that earns it 4 stars.
Crooked Creek is a great whole family pleaser. There's a bit of everything on the menu and everything we tasted was done well.
Standouts from our orders included the savory soups at the salad bar, which are all made homemade by a chef who specializes in soups. The buffalo burger and sweet potato fries are a no brainer.
The menu has some thoughtful, homemade vegetarian options (the owner is apparently veggie) as well. My little sister, who rarely eats veggies devoured a veggie burger. Â Beers were well priced and included some local micros.
The restaurant in the back and bar at the front were recently redone and nicer than described by previous reviews. Perfect choice for a casual, reasonably priced, healthy night out after hitting the hills.
There is always something fun to do at the Crooked Creek and it really is managed quite well... it's more than just a bar.
I love Monday nights, there is a Texas Hold'em tournament that takes place at 8:30 every week and points are accrued, every 10 weeks the top 40 players play to win a trip for 2 to Las Vegas... I'm determined to win it eventually.
Tuesday nights are equally as awesome, every week at 7:30 the Hulkstar's Trivia game takes place and it's quite fun, a nice mix of players. I'm on a team called the Wiseguys and we're a force to be reckoned with so bring your A-game.
I went to Crooked Creek with a group of 16 after a day of snow tubing. I thought I walked into the wrong place as well, since I was the last to arrive, and everyone else was in the back dining room, which I didn't see at first. The dining room is quite lovely, and I have to say that the server handled our group and separate checks flawlessly!
Everything I had was delicious - homemade corn chowder, lemonade, and a shared buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. A perfect ending to a very fun mountain adventure!
I can't speak for the rest of the group, but they all seemed to enjoy their beers and food as well. It might seem a little pricey for a beer + burger kind of place, but you can easily split any of the sandwiches or entrees and still leave satisfied! I would try the homemade soups, sweet potato fries and a nice Colorado brew. Expect to wait a little bit, this is a mountain town after all, not NYC.
Come here expecting to find an unassuming (even divey) saloon with live music at night and a surprisingly pleasant menu. Sit in back if you want a nicer feeling environment. The restroom at the back of the dining area is quite a bit nicer than the one in the saloon. The dining addition feels quite new and clean. Thumbs up for Crooked Creek Saloon!
Upon entering this place, I was thrown off a bit. I walked expecting a restaurant and a shabby bar was the first thing I saw. Apparently, the dining room was toward the back. I almost turned around and walked back out. The place wasn't very busy, seemed to be a few locals hanging around for a drink. The dining room was in the midst of rennovation, they had just installed a wall of flat panel tvs in it. I think the tables and chairs are last on their list of things to replace. The menu was average size, there was decent variety and my party took full advantage of it. Average price, okay food. Service was good.
