I had cocktail at Crush on a Tuesday and based on the bite of steak I had and the fantastic shrimp cocktail I decided to take my work team there for dinner. We had a party of 9 and of the 9, 4 of the steaks were done wrong. I ordered the grass fed New York black and blue. It came back medium. I sent it back as did 3 of my team members. Based on the number of mistakes the manager came over as did the chef/owner and apologized profusely. They comped our tip ($78) and desserts and gave 2 of the team members that lived here $25 gift cards and comped a bottle of wine as well. Based on the food mistakes and our server alone I would give this place a 2 but the fact that they did so much to make up for their mistakes, and our awesome busperson, the lovely Kelly, I gave this place a 3 out of 5.
Review Source:This place is located right next to the Hampton Inn which I stayed in for my business trip. The path through the courtyard from Hampton to front door of restaurant is a nice convenience. I had dinner with some coworkers and we were greeted and seated promptly. The waitress was friendly and brought water to the table, weird thing though, no ice in the water! I ordered the NY strip and the salad bar. The salad bar is a very nice little addition, many great high quality choices to top my greens, I was very impressed. We were served complementary freshly backed focaccia bread with balsamic and oil dip, bread was tasty. My NY steak came out and was on a white plate topped with a compound butter, roasted garlic, and sprig of thyme with a side of mashed potatoes. NY was mildly flavorful, nothing to write home about, potatoes were flavorless though. I never salt my own food typically and I found I had to with the potatoes. The NY was surprisingly tough and chewy which I didn't expect from the $24 price for the steak. I shared the toffee tartlet desert with a coworker, BEST part of the meal besides the salad bar! The tart was filled with a great toffee filling and served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Overall the food was ok that I had, my coworkers were impressed with their entrees and happy. I would of liked a better and more rendered or at least aged cut from this "steakhouse".
