Dairy Queen of Layton

Maybe it's because half of my family worked here when I was younger. Maybe it's because my dad would always take me here for treats when I was younger. Maybe it's because it's just down the street from my house. Whatever the reason, I LOVE Dairy Queen's dipped cones and fries! Honestly, I think it's one of the best treats out there! You'd think that living within walking distance of your choice ice cream spot, you' get sick of it... No. Not me. Not Dairy Queen.
Blizzards, pretty good. I personally recommend the  Blizzard - with a little extra Butterfinger  (for free, if you think you can swing it!). But the dipped cones are why I love Dairy Queen. I just get the small size, it seems to do me just fine. And the kids finish their kid's size cones as well.
Somehow, I always convince myself to also get fries too. Usually, it's after I've already started eating my cone. I'll just smell them or see the advertisements they have there on the table of different deals. Either way, it gets me 90% of the time. Who woulda thunk it?

I give Dairy Queen 5 stars because it's so dang tasty! It's fun to take the kids for an afternoon or evening treat. (especially for Daddy/Daughter dates) And also, the five stars from me ifodor nostalgia. It just makes me feel like a kid again!
