I feel like somehow I've had completely different pizza than what's reviewed here. I've eaten/ordered from Dan Good a few different times, and it's always left me with a funny taste in my mouth - literally. It just tastes "off", and leaves a weird gritty residue. The cheese on every pizza I've seen has managed to overflow the crust and blob up during delivery, leaving me having to re-slice it myself when I got it.
I don't have a clue what people are talking about regarding the "fresh ingredients". The toppings aren't very good at all - the couple of times I've had bacon on a pizza, it'll be practically raw. The mushrooms are the same run-of-the-mill canned shrooms you get on any random $5 pseudo-pizza. The crust is the same cardboard-thin white bread you'd get at a gas station.
The price is the real kicker - if you're entertaining guests, two larges and an order of breadsticks will run you more than $50. There are so, so many other privately-owned local pizzerias around here that will deliver twice the quality at half the price. Give one of them a chance, and if you feel I'm mistaken, feel free to disagree.
Hands down the best pizza that I have ever had. Â My boyfriend and I favor the Mediterranean pizza, though there are others that are equally as delicious. I'm a big fan of feta cheese, so I almost always get that one.
It is a little bit pricey, though. I usually spend about $22 on a large pizza here. The saying is true, that you get what you pay for. So, this is something I treat myself to every now and again, even though I'm convinced I could live off of it :P Â The price doesn't deter me though, because it's worth ever single penny spent.
Another awesome thing about this particular location, is that they are incredibly fast at making/delivering your order. Kudos to you, Dan Good Staff :)
All in all, if you haven't been, you definitely should.
Some of the best pizza I have ever had. The only bad part is the price. I understand you get what you pay for but it's pizza. $20+ for a large pizza is a bit much. That said even with the high prices, I keep going back. It's the ingredients. They really use fresh ingredients. It's soooo good. Just not something you buy for a party. Unless you want to spend big $$$$.
Review Source:This is my favorite carry-out pizza in the area. Â I usually get the regular crust with plain cheese or cheese and pepperoni. Â (Although I'm adventurous in other food areas, with pizza, I'm a purist.) Â I love the crust!
They offer a deep dish as well, which I liked, but it is rare that I order it. Â They offer plenty of fresh, creative toppings for their pizzas, if you are so inclined.
