Davis Island Grill

We had purchased a groupon, however upon arrival found out that they had run out of a lobsters for the night.  Since it was not lobster season yet, it was understandable but nonetheless disappointing when arriving in Maine for your first meal.

Instead I got the Lobster Stew, which was good, but rather rich and buttery.  On the menu it is listed, "in a butter cream and lobster stock", and I found it to be a little heavy on the butter cream.

The person I was with got the skirt steak.  She said it was good and as she ordered.  

The building was nice, and while we were there at night, I can come to the conclusion that during the day, the view must be marvelous.  If you are in the area, it is worth a stop for dinner.

Excellent! Been a couple times now. Love the fireplace in the bar area. Warm and cozy. I've had the Lobster Fettucine Alfredo, Pork Tenderloin, special chicken salad sandwich (during lunch), nachos, buffalo chicken spring rolls.... can't complain about any of it. My daughter absolutely loved the salmon!

I went here last night and had a fish sandwich. It was really good and $9! Good price! We sat outside and watched the sunset. It was beautiful.
When I walked in at first I felt under-dressed with the decor... like another review, the atmosphere inside did not match all the beer signs and crazy pirate guy. Oh well!

I'm happy to hear that it will be open year round. I wonder if that roof deck is open? The service was friendly. I will definitely go again--I'm going to stick to the outside patio though.
