Dempsey's Restaurant & Brewery

Brutal. From the service ( had to finally go in myself to pay the bill) to the nearly Inedible food, this place was a complete waste of time and money. I don't eat often in Petaluma. I'll try yo to let this place ruin me for dining in this town.

Stumbled on this restaurant while strolling on the river walk in Petaluma. Lots of people at the tables on the outdoor patio overlooking the river. The view was good. The portions were generous. The salmon was excellent. Cooked in a wood oven. The chef timed it perfectly. The homemade root bear was delicious. Friendly, courteous staff. Only flaw: Guests were trying to shoo away the flies on the patio. Don't know if it would work, but the restaurant could try using citronella candles on the patio.

meh...that's the perfect word...I've had better. Ordered the hummus and pita appetizer. Came out with a ton of cheese on it, and no where did it say in the description that it had that extra stuff. Beer=OK, App=OK. No frills.
