Went here with a group of 10 for a birthday party. Â May I recommend you get reservations ahead of time! Â This was my 1st time here and I don't know when I will be going back.
The parking lot in the middle of winter is crazy snowy/icy. Â THere's a large hole full of water and slush right by the corner of the building. Â Heck of a time trying to maneuver that by foot or vehicle. Â There is only 1 flood light and it's on the building.
Initially walking into the building you're at the bar. Â There is no direction as to who to talk to to get a table. Â For a supper club in NE Wisconsin it's typical, low lighting, busy as heck and hard to get a drink. Â The bar area was shoulder to shoulder people and no one would let you past them , nor the bartender notice you in order to get a drink. Â It also smells like a pool. Â
After forming a line in the small hallway between the bar and dining room, speaking to the bartender and 2 of the waitstaff we finally find someone that knows we have a reservation and are directed to a table. Â We had 2 servers , which became a juggling act when ordering drinks trying to figure out which one would take care of which guest. Â The dining room again was dimly lit and was surprisingly cold.
Hearing that this place is known for steaks I ordered the steak and haddock combo. Â The steak wasn't bad, cooked and seasoned well, the fried haddock was sadly frozen and then fried. Â
Upon receiving out checks we were asked to pay them at the bar. Â So again we form another line at the bar with other guests to pay who commented," ...It's going to take us as long to pay as it did waiting for our food! Â " Which is somewhat true, the system could use a little stream lining.
