We stumbled upon this restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky on our drive back to Michigan. On Yelp it was not well rated, but it was snowing and Dino's was the only place in walking distance. We thought, how bad could you mess up za---let's go. Final analysis is that it was a solid 3 star. I did get a pizza and it was excellent---white cheese with sausage. I also had a great house salad with home made blue cheese dressing (great). My wife got a tuna melt and said it was one of the best ever.
After 10 hours of driving it was nice to relax with a glass of wine, and the house Chianti was good and only $4.50.
Rachel, our wait person was not only efficient, but also very friendly and made our visit especially pleasant.
I'd like to say we'll be back, but it was a coincidence that we were here and we may never get back. Â Â BUT,if we lived nearby we would go every week.
I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of the hotel where I was staying. Â Ordered the chicken piccata and it was not good. Â I sent the meal back but was charged the full price and the manager never came to the table. The other couple I was with said their meal was lack luster. Â The server was attentive and pleasant. Â Would not recommend this restaurant.
Review Source:My experience at Dino's was fairly good but there were definitely flaws. The breadsticks were ok, paired with a simplistic salad. The entree was like chicken cordon bleu clashed with eggplant parmesan with a tomato sauce instead of a dijon or honey mustard. The spaghetti that was paired with it however was horrible. The spaghetti was cooked pretty well, but the sauce tasted like it came out of a can, definitely not homemade. As far as dessert goes, they have a huge spread of numerous desserts. I tried the apple streusel cheesecake and it was just horrible. I took one bite and could not go any further. The streusel topping just tasted like raw flour mixed with a few other ingredients and was practically flavorless and the cheesecake itself was not very moist. And to top things off, I let management know that I had flaws in my meal and hardly touched my dessert- their solution was to do nothing. My biggest pet peave is when a restaurant is fully aware that your experience wasn't extraordinary and rather than make the situation right, they choose to ignore it. I would not recommend Dino's and I certainly will not be back. If you want good italian, go to the Fazioli's across the street. Granite the elegance is minimal, but their performance is spot on and they are more than half the price
