The Dog House

The Doghouse is a "shot and a beer" bar. Why do I give it 4 stars? There are several reasons. It's a friendly place. The bar tender is always nice. (That seems the case in most WI bars I've been.) There is a varried clientele. I've seen suits, older folks, labor, and young people in the place. I've even seen kids there. The juke box has a diverse blend of music. Big screen TVs over the bar showing sports. 2 pool tables and volley ball courts outside. The bar is on the river so you can boat or sled right up. Now for the food! You can't go wrong here. The pizza is home made and delicious. The sandwiches are big, hearty, and made fresh. The lunch special is the way to go. It's reasonably priced and if paired with a couple of Carols' bloody marys you're gonna have a great afternoon! The Doghouse is one of my favorite places! Simple, delicious food, friendly people. It's nothing special to look at as you drive by. It's nothing special to look at on the inside. (It's a bar) The people and the food, that's what makes it so special!
