My parents raised my other siblings in Beattyville and took me back here to see where they once lived. Â We stopped by The Purple Cow because my parents used to go there when they were younger. Â I ordered a burger and fries. Â Simply put, they were good ole home cooked burgers made by someone who knew what he/she was doing. Â They melted in my mouth they were so good, and the fries were crisp and salted to perfection. Â Since my parents are in ill health now, I think back to the good time we had that day and specifically at this restaurant and it brings a smile to my face. If you want an awesome cheeseburger and fries, go here. Â It's much better than the nuked, processed, fast food version you find nowadays.
Review Source:I like this small and cozy restaurant mainly because of its cuisines. Hopefully, you can find local foods which are healthy in there and I prefer it to any kind of restaurant chain. The people who eat there are typically locals and they have a good choice of sandwiches, dinners, and deserts. This restaurant is perfect for seniors or those concerned with what they take in. The restaurant is not fancy with a lot of bells and whistles but it does the trick for healthy eaters like me.
Review Source:A historic restaurant, operating since 1930s, it still has a historic touch to it. A purple cow motif runs throughout the whole place: there is a big painting of the purple cow on the wall, little statues of the cows everywhere and the furniture with a touch of old times to it. This place is family-oriented and features "country cook'in", as the sign puts it. Everything is cooked from scratch and Soup Beans and corn bread are big hits! Definitely a place to visit, when you are in town.
