Never will a restaurant consistently be 100%. Mistakes happen. It is how the staff deals with those mistakes, when brought to their attention that makes a great place and exceptional place.
Today I got stale bread. I mean rock hard stale texas toast on my burger. I took it off and ate the burger without it. It was still a very good burger. When the waiter came to check on me, I mentioned it and showed him the bread. I was informing him mainly so that they can pull that loaf of bread from the kitchen or at least make stuffing out of it.
An apology was issued and I mean a very sincere apology based on shame and embarassment. I commented again that the burger rocked, it was just the bread, but they insisted it should have never have gone out the doors like that and they took care of me big time. Â
This is why this is my favorite spot in Los Gatos.
I've been trying to find time to write a review for this place forever. I came here twice: the first time I got the chicken penne a la vodka and it was AMAZING! The second time I came I realized that the menu had changed so no more chicken penne :( However, I ordered the chicken sandwich with sourdough bread, avocado, chicken breast, egg, tomato, lettuce, applewood smoked bacon, and pepper mayo and it was just as good as the chicken penne! The flavors melded together beautifully and the waitress even added pineapple for me upon request.
Service is a bit slow but the waiters/waitresses all have amazing personalities and the food is delicious!!
P.S. Don't look at their website menu, it's not updated to their new menu yet.
