This is a fairly decent way to spend a Sunday evening.

You can use any mode of transportation to get there, but if you drive, leave early.

Wine, food, dogs, obnoxious children, seniors holding hands, couples in fights, mullets, dancing gypsies, guys scoping out the place, girls way overdressed, hoping to get scoped out by the said guys scoping out the place, cute babies in headphones playing blow up guitars,  fake boobs and botox, hair plugs and spray tans, and a few couples that remind you of the Culps from Saturday Night Live.  FANTASTIC people watching.

My only beef:  the rule about no blankets or towels.  It ruins the grass.  I guess chairs, feet, picnic baskets, peeing dogs, wine bottles spilled out all over the place, and bikes all over does nothing to the grass.  All I have to say, is that coming from the midwest, that crap is so California.

parking? well its icky for cars, bikes, and motorcycles but there are several places in the area you can park and easily walk to the venue.

Every city/municipality tends to have a  music in the park but los gatos is by far my favorite so far (even over my hometowns!) One it's on a sunday and not some random weekeday which is awesome. It starts and ends early enough to have lunch and dinner before and after and enjoy dt los gatos. The music selsection varies and isn't filled with random heavy metal and terribad bands like other areas.  There is plenty of shade and it is jsut overall a great little music in the park series. I am really glad I discovered it this year! Plus one  bonus too no homeless people panhandling and bugging you and the kids/teens tend to be better behaved with actual adult supervision!
