Park Lane Lounge

Decent bar but chintzy bartenders. Looks really scummy from the outside but not half bad inside. Would be a 4 star if the bartender had not charged more than the amount I signed for... sketchy.

Yesterday was my first time there, and I will never be going back.  I was having an okay time until some rude, dumb@SS, arrogant ,ugly@SS b@#$% comes over to me and my friend and pretty much tries to kick us out no more than a minute after my friend buys a 10 dollar whiskey shot from the bartender.  I guess in some bars they close at 1:30, but I've been to plenty of bars in San Jose that close at 2.  The wench was asking to be slapped with comments like, "It doesn't matter if you just bought your drink.  You should have thought of that before you bought it."  I was thinking to myself "No b!@#$, your bartender should have thought of that before she sold it."  This place gave no last call or anything.  What douchebags.  Anyway, me and my friend didn't leave til our drinks were finished.  We didn't care that we kept being asked to leave.  And on a final note, their Margaritas suck @$$ there.  This place is a waste of space.

I came here with some friends for St Patty's Day which landed on a Sunday this year so we were doing some day time drinking. I used to live right across the street from here. But since I had never been to the place, I slowly recognized where my GPS was taking me and was scared as it used to be a real dingy typical hole-in-the-wall-wouldn't-even-think-to-walk-by-­on-my-own kinda place.

But omg they completely remodeled this place and everything was brand new: the bar, the seats, the juke box, etc! It looked nothing like what it used to look like back when I lived there in 2000. Apparently, there was a fire and they had to renovate.

The bartender was so friendly and easy going and had no problems holding easy conversations with everyone in the bar! Plus she made some awesome personal drinks after asking a few questions about what kinda drinks we like.

Also, this is a bar. I wouldn't call it a lounge.. They have pool tables and darts and a juke box. No sofas or dance floor, etc that I saw at least (note that this was a Sunday afternoon).

It's a cool place to grab a few drinks for a low key kinda evening!
