Elephant Bar Restaurant

We have eaten here twice recently.  The first time we ordered ribs.  They were dry and very overcooked.  Service was not good; we had to wait while people who came in after us were waited on first.  Disappointing!  The second time was even worse.  My husband ordered Mongolian beef.  He said it was very tough and dry and tasteless.  I ordered the Thai salad, listed as including peas pods and mangoes.  It did not have those ingredients but was mostly lettuce without any dressing at all.  It was certainly nothing like any Thai food I have ever had.  Twice is enough for us to give a restaurant a chance to show us some quality and value.  The place was packed both times.  So some people apparently think it is okay.  But we cannot see ourselves wasting any more time or money on the Elephant Bar and Restaurant.

Arrived Saturday night for dinner. The host sat us quickly. The Booth she sat yes at was dirty. Our server came and started laying utensils. We asked him to clean the table which he obligingly did. We moved to a table at our request. The table was too small anyway. The next server was pleasant. However the food was terrible! My daughters burger meat was overcooked. My wives chicken salad meat was simply burnt too. My Thai chicken zest salad was tasteless. Food took 40 minutes to come out! Restaurant floor was so dirty, it's unlike most elephant bars I have seen. Overall, our dinner experience was terrible. Won't recommend.

Wow, is it just me or are the appetizer portions shrinking?  Or maybe I come here so rarely I never noticed.  Either way -- Calamari bowl is half filled with puffed rice noodles?  Artichoke dip bowl only half full?  Meh.
