Downey Pizza Co

Wow!  We love this pizza!  The dough is cooked just right and gives you that perfect pizza slice, hardy enough to hold the toppings but not so thick that it was all dough.  The sauce is very tasty.  It is a little zesty and there was just enough on the pizza.  We added pepperoni and ground beef.  We hate going into a pizza place that has ground beef as a topping and then we aren't sure what they did, boil it maybe? because it has no flavor but the beef at Downey Pizza Co. was fantastically flavored!  We also had the antipasti salad...yum!  The small is definitely enough for two people to share and we got the cheese bread...you can see the garlic on it.  You have to take pizza home so you have room for their ice cream pie which is a deep dish chocolate chunk cookie baked when you order it and topped with two scoops of ice cream.  One is definitely enough to share. The service was excellent. Our waitress was wonderful!  She was attentive but without hoovering and we never felt ignored. This place understands that a smile goes a long way!  Each "course" we ordered was tasty  and delicious and was not dumped on our table too soon nor did we have to wait long.  I love this place.  One tip, listen to your friends and co-workers!  Especially the ones that don't live down the street from you.  You can find some great places if you are willing to do a bit of driving and trying someone else's recommendation.  Thanks Liza!  You were right about Downey Pizza Co!

Fresh baked pizza and delicious potato wedges. Also, they have a full bar which is always a plus!

Best Pastrami Pizza!!! I ordered the best of pizzas half pastrami and all meats.
