Las Chabelitas Sports Bar

Worst bar experience in my life! Be very careful when coming here. You may just get jacked like I did. I had never been to this bar before, but I was bored and wanted to get out and relax.  I met a guy who told me his name was Alex Casillas. He said he was 26. Slim hispanic guy with the sides of his head shaved, kinda like a mohawk look, except wavy and kinda short, spoke some English with a heavy accent. He had mentioned living with a girl he was going to divorce and having a small kid named Jose? He grabbed my bag with basically my whole life in it, including my keys. I chased him on foot 'till I lost him.  I was virtually left stranded in the area.
The following week I returned to the bar to see if the owner, who was there on the night this occurred, was able to identify the scum bag. The owner stated that he didn't remember me despite the fact that he had lead me to a lighted storage area to grab a business card for me. Very iffy on the whole subject.
My caveat to you, use extreme caution when patronizing this bar and if you know a skinny guy that frequents this place as well as JC Tavern, stay away! I later found out that this guy lives in the City of Commerce, near Neenah St. and Ramon Ct.., to be precise, and goes to bars that are within walking distance. I do also know that this guy uses drugs. He kept going to the restroom to "take care of business."

an old high school friend of mine called me and asked me if i wanted to walk down to this spot to grab a drink. i'd never been, weird since im an aspiring alcoholic. ok who am i kidding i love alcohol. anyway. i'd always passed by this place on my way home. the former name was little johns, im sure they had some kinda copy right infringment with the rapper little jon so the new name is pretty chunte and is now called las chambelitas.

granted the name isnt all great, dont judge a book by its cover though. they have dos x's on tap. how amazing. a bud a new castle and a dos x came out to 8 and a quarter. not bad eh? free pool on mondays and tuesdays with a purchase of 3 or more beers. who's not gunna do that though!

the cons. it was hotter than morning breath in there. even with the fans kickin, i was still sweatin -1 who wants to be uncomfortable in humid heat??

other than that everything was great for a little bar around the corner they have quite a few tv's a juke box and a nice bartender lady. she was the only girl in there besides my neighbor and her friend. the guys didnt mind they we're too busy kickin back. over all, i'll be visiting this place for a cold one more often.
