Good place, good food, good people.
Was greeted when i walked in, seemed like more of a dive bar scene. I ordered The Italian supreme sandwich and it was delicious!! Also tried a pint of Red chair that was pretty good no complaints. Total price 15.00 bucks.
Although, a small town this sportsbar is alittle out dated for decor. But over all is average in my book, a good average
I didn't order a burger, play pool or watch a sports game on any of the many TVs. However, I *did* order a bloody mary and people watch, so I feel entitled to my two cents.
This is a small town, sports bar. There are a couple rooms and two bars, but they were still pretty busy. It has a sort of grimy feel- not like a true dive, but like there are more important things to do than update and clean.
Frankly, the service sucked. Most of the people working at the bar seemed to be between 21-23 years old and concerned with, well, I don't know what they were concerned with but it wasn't their customers. It took far too long for us to get service and probably five different people had to be flagged down so that we could order and get our bill. Along with our drinks and bill, we got a side of eye rolls and attitude, but not the endearing kind.
As for the Bloody Mary it was rather standard. It packed a little kick, but I was disappointed that they only tossed in an olive and a piece of lemon.
This is the kind of place that screams sports bar. There are big screen tvs that are always turned to the big game and sports memorabilia covers every wall in the place. There is a full bar and they offer an average selection of beer on tap. The place gets hopping late at night when the other bars downtown close. The food is not bad and they offer decent lunch specials during the week. Draft Pic's is definitely the place to go in Mount Vernon for a few drinks after 10 any night of the week.
