I was at a show that night and this bar is connected to the fox theater. good vibe in the bar. Ordered one beer that i've bought there normally for $7 dollars. Apparently because there is a show the prices double so i had to pay $15 dollars said beer. Like the spot but thats just not right. highway robbery
i guess i will stick to drinking at the bars around the fox before the show.
keep in mind i payed and tipped the bartender.
I'm so confused by these reviews. Â First time yelp has ever let me down!
When my group first first walked in to the completely empty dining room, the staff basically stared at us in confusion before they completely ignored us. Â Once we established we were actually standing in the dining room to, well, dine, they told us to sit wherever. Â We had to pull some tables together ourselves, no help from the staff who were slammed I guess catching up with each other since there were no other customers in the place.
We then ordered some small plates, menu looked great, they brought us drinks...
Then the food comes. Â And along with it a small pile of the cheapest plastic plates, plastic forks, and plastic spoons I have ever seen. Â
PLASTIC? Â HUH?
I have never, EVER gone to a restaurant that isn't like taco bell or something and been given plastic cutlery and plates. Â This is not only insanely tacky for a supposedly nice sit down dining experience, it's TERRIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT! Â
The food I'm guessing is purchased in the freezer aisle at costco, they then re-heat it, and dump some sauce or bacon bits or whatever on to make it seem like they have a chef. Â Gross.
The bar is pretty much out of whatever you want to order, they didn't have three liquors we asked for, Â and when your plastic cup comes with a shot of whatever they have in stock don't expect it to be a full shot, more like a sip, if that. Â They will charge you 10 bucks for it though.
Let me give you an example. Â Our last round of drinks was 78 dollars for 4 beers and 4 shots. Â Either you WAY overcharged us (no itemized receipt), or you think a bud-light and a sip of crown in a plastic cup is worth 20 bucks at your fine dining establishment .
