Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant

Lots of laughs, it was a great time!

My first time here was 6/7/13. I stopped by around 8:30p to pick up two tickets to the 10p showing to see Grant Cotter and Samuel Comroe. (Which both were amazing to watch live!)  I found the sign but couldn't actually find the venue. After walking around, I seriously thought I had lost my mind. As I started to walk back out the front door to the warehouse type building it's housed in, I happened to look up and see the small Flappers sign upstairs and to the left.  We walked up the stairs towards the check in area. There wasn't anyone at the desk, so I wasn't sure what to do, however, after waiting a few minutes a gal came out with menus and asked if we needed help. We purchased our tickets to the 10p show and asked a few questions, which she was more than happy to answer.

At 9:45p we headed back to the venue to get in line for our show. There were still available booths outside the front doors to the club. After the previous show was cleared and cleaned we were lead inside to what was a very small but quaint room. We were seated practically in front of the stage and mic. I was a little nervous about that!

Overall the experience was pretty good. There weren't many occupied tables during this particular show, but it was nice because two of the comedians were really able to interact with the audience, and get the crowd going. And.not.in.your.face.going.to.embarrass.you.kinda.­way which I am thankful for. I can embarrass myself on my own thank you very much. I wasn't thrilled with our waitress, who's name I didn't take note of. But I had to request a water three times before I was finally served one, and I would have like to enjoy another glass of wine, but she never came back to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. The other waitresses serving on this particular evening seemed very on top of things however.  Alcohol wise it appeared to be mostly a beer/wine bar, no mixed or fancy fruity drinks were seen on the menu. We didn't order food, so I can't comment on that. But it is a two item minimum, as most comedy venues are.

I will definitely be keeping my eye on the calendar for another show I'd like to attend. They have a Sunday comedy show for families with children, and it sounds pretty entertaining, I might just come back and check it out.  I think Flappers is a great little venue, and in a great part of town too! I look forward to another visit in the near future.

Awesome show last night with PJ Walsh Headlining.  Staff was warm & professional.  I love the venue!!!  I will definitely be back.
