Place is no joke. It would be busy in Madison or Minneapolis and does a great job tucked away in little Chippewa Falls. Great seasonal menus and awesome wine list. If you are looking for a meal for two in the $100 range, this is the place to go. (If you're looking for a meal for 2 in the $200 range, this is probably also the place to go. :) )
Review Source:Duncan Creek offers a constantly-changing array of wonderful food and excellent selection of wines. The service is always good and the menu choices are always interesting and fun. Gorgonzola is always somewhere on the menu, which is great, as too few chefs are willing to work with this wonderful cheese. All in all, a great dining experience in the Chippewa Valley and a place more people from Eau Claire need to drive up and try!
Review Source:If you live in Chippewa, you should be proud of how many successful restaurants there are in town that are not chain outlets (unlike those Eau Clarions down the road!). And one of my favorites when I visit is Duncan Creek. The vibe is almost Napa Valley, the cooking is very competent, the menu as interesting as one might find in a well-received joint in a foodie town. A bit more $ than you might usually pay in the area, but I think worth it.
Review Source:Such a wonderful dining experience. Staff are very knowledgable and the chefs are masters of their trade. I usually order the special of the evening and have never been disappointed. Â I would consider it 'fine dining' but don't be intimidated: it is reasonably priced and very casual. I'd eat there every day of the week if I could.
Review Source:I was recently in Chippewa with my mom visiting my grandma. Â I knew that I wanted to treat my grandma to dinner because as she always says, "I'm a rich lady now,' so I knew I had to spend my money on a nice meal.
She of course recomended Duncan Creek which was perfect for me because I was hankering for a steak. It turns out so were my mom and grandma, as we all ordered the same entree. The server was great, she was quick to get our bottle of wine and even had mushrooms for my grandma's martini.
As I said we all got the same steak entree of various cook temps. I ordered mine rare and the meat was cooked perfectly. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes with a cabernet butter and a side of excellent green beans and carrots. It was exactly what we all needed that night. So effing good.
Duncan Creek is adorable and the food is heaven, please go if you are ever in Chippewa.
